ive heard 100s (quite ossibly 1000s) of albums in my lifetime but this is one that always gives me a punch in the gut...so poignant for so many reasons and delivered so very masterfully thank you Jon for sharing your heart with the world!!
Since 2022 I know about Savatage. I have never seen or heard of Savatage before and I am a guru in music. I grew up in the 70s 80s and I know so many great Rock Music. I think it is all politics in the radio stations and record maker etc they decide what people will hear and what not so often and what not at all. POLITICS. I died 2015 and survived and luck it was that I have seen in youtube the group Savatage. I am so glad that I have heard this music in 2022. Great Band. Great Music. 🐈
One of the few greatest guitarists of our time. I got my Charvel back then after being influenced by his tone and playing. His music legacy lives on, in the albums and for me personally by just looking at my crimson red Charvel.
Savatage was and IS still one of My Number 1 Favorite Bands... The Influence You have had 9n My Life is Absolutely Priceless. You have Always been one of the Truest Metal Bands and Jon is one of the Most Honest Singers I've Ever Experienced... Pouring His Heart and Soul Out with Every Note and Nuance ... and Somehow retaining Chris's Soul within the Creation of All Of His Music... A Friend and I had flown to Florida from Alaska to Meet You.... He knew I was a Huge Fan... and studied Every Note , Vocal Inflection, and Feeling within... The Day We were to join You, He received a call that Chris had passed.... That Day still Haunts Me... Though.... I am so Glad that Chris's Passing did not end His Legacy Nor did it End Savatage.... Instead It has added a Strength, Drive , Direction, Inspiration , and so much more... Chris's Passing ... Helped Create a New Musical Pallet that has Evolved into making the World a Better Place for Him Having Been.... I've far to much to say to keep it all in time... Thank You \m/
RIP CRISS wow I did not realise it was 30 years ago that you passed .. I did not realise you were only 30 years old when you were killed senselessly. You are so missed...
One of the best bands of all time. The Oliva brothers were really really talented. Pity they never received the recognition they deserved. Just proves that the mass public likes to listen to commercial crap.
You are here. I am here. 1.6 thousand fans have been here so far. So what is best? Mass adulation or a devoted more cult-like following. Personally, I like having bands like Savatage, Trouble, Metal Church, Omen, Manilla Road, Cirith Ungol, Night Demon, Orange Goblin, Y&T, Riot, Dangerous Toys, Wildstreet and many old and newer bands somewhat to myself and several thousands of my Metal friends. When they hit it mega-huge in the mainstream, if they ever do, I'm looking for the next special thing. Look at Metallica. I loved them as they began. The bigger they got, the more my enthusiasm faded. I love going to a smaller venue where you can get up to the barricade to see Saxon or John 5 and not spend $100+ on a great seat at an arena only to have someone stand in front of you for the entire show. I have a lot of respect for working bands that play because they love it who would welcome fame but still find satisfaction playing when only 20 people show up.Thank you for letting me rant.
Talento e técnica com relativamente pouca idade realmente esse mundo é um mistério .Mais um presente do " Universo" numa passagem rápida entre os mortais, obrigado Cristopher Oliva( Me desculpem se errei o nome !)
