Tyranids have been one of the hardest faction to balance, because its so easy for a human player to use them to their full potential, while the AI really struggles. They are getting a pretty big balance and update pass in the planned update however. Some new ships, but general changes as well. As a note, there is one ship that I made (Swarm Ship) that was supposed to work as a kind of mobile defense and force multiplier, but turned out that its just slightly overtuned in that regard and that if you run fleets with them you cannot loose. Against any enemy pretty much. The AI never does this of course, but for a human its easy to capitalize on the AI:s stupidity.
The Hrafnkel was one of the oldest and largest Gloriana-class Battleships, surpassed only by the Vengeful Spirit, the Iron Blood and the Conqueror in size after its extensive reforging, an impression confirmed by ancient texts written by Imperial Remembrancers accompanying the VI Legion that described the scale of the Hrafnkel as incredible.
0 the worst part of this game is the environment has no sense of scale. In a 40k titan game that is a massive blunder and is relatively easy to fix by just having consistently scaled environmental objects/doodads. Trees should be tiny, i don't care if they are alien trees, the trees should be small because our human brain reads that as a normal tree, which is BIGGER THAN A TITAN. This game makes the Titans feel about 20ft tall tops. Buildings should be smaller, or at least window door textures should be shrunk down in scale. since its 40k you can just multiply and stack the smaller buildings, this game already seems to have such low polycount and low-res textures that quintupling the buildings shouldn't really hit the FPS hard at all.
How can I download the map? I am having an issue with it. I have already subscribed to it on Steam, but the map doesn't show up in the game selection. And keep going with these videos
I love this channel. You get exactly what it says on the tin. No talking. No nothing except giant science fiction battles. It's a shame this isn't more popular.
Ancient machines beyond mortal comprehension, with armaments and shields that bend the laws of physics to their screaming break points... And some giant bug just chews your ship to bits.
These Orks Are probably mad as f***. Instead of facing them down in close combat, they just line up and annoy them with their bombers, nova cannons and stasisbombs on the longest range possible.
Sheesh... half of the titan's shots were just getting guzzled by a huge carcass. This is why the whole "hold the line" thing only kinda works. If something big dies next to your heavy hitters you're losing battle capacity. It's almost good enough to be a force multiplier for the opposition...
