Der Track ist eine Anklage an Kriegstreiberei, falschem Nationalstolz und Goldgier. Eine Anklage an die Macht. And One halten den Menschen - wie meistens - den Spiegel vor. Sehr guter Track. Seine Lyrik hier ist Anklage/Vorhalten eines Spiegels in ironischer Form, wenn man so will. Ähnlich wie es auch Rammstein häufig tun. Man singt "Deutschland", man feiert es aber nicht, sondern klagt es an/hält den Spiegel vor usw. - Hier passieren Menschen, die Sarkasmus nicht verstehen genau die Fehler. Sie denken dann Rammstein wäre eine rechte statt eher linke Band, oder selbiges Misinterpretieren findet bei And One statt. Es muss auch gar nicht mal um zwangsläufig "links" gehen, "nicht-rechts" sagen wir mal. - Im Grunde ist diesen Track zu hören und dazu Nationalstolz zu empfinden genau das Gegenteil von dem, was And One's Intention wäre.

I guess its about blind pride and faith towards ones country, regardless of the catastrophic possible outcomes. Which is on the nose if you see at the lyrics, the clip showing weapons manufacturing and mobilization followed by war then finally followed by cataclysm

that was interesting and disturbing what with the swinging hooded figures and the man with the pumpkin head, and the killing. is the movie historical? I read imbd's synopsis. according to what I read its release was put on hold 5 years and the ending changed because of communist disapproval. 16horsepower's song, Burning Bush, came to mind seeing the the old women at the windows as the young woman walked by. thanks for playing this thoughtful song.
It often happened that the censorship stopped films. this is not a historical film. more magical realism. If something is associated with the wonderful 16 horsepower, it's only good :)
