Just some great DIY fun. I have set out to make as many projects as I can. I enjoy MTB riding and EMBS riding.I will try to post as much as possible between work and look forward to all viewers enjoying the content.for business or suggestions please contact me at thecreator652@gmail.com
@@TeamEmpowered01 it’s a choice of preference. Basically depends on what features you want and the power you plan to run. I would be happy to help. And explain it all. You can contact me on Instagram or Facebook Spire Engineerin no g. After we talk I will try to make a video if I get free time
This is an older video I would highly recommend viewing my video on my 12s9p battery as I have a lot more safety steps added into building the pack. Be safe out there👍👍
Glad I sold my dji year ago. Saw the writing on the wall. We are in tech war w china for last 4 years. Unfortunately anything that has Chinese proprietary made chips will be banned in the future imo..
This video was done before it was signed and as of now I have not made an update. At that time it was possible to affect all by fcc ban. I plan to make an update after I read through a lot more info now that we have solid info
Actually, all the current FCC licenses for DJI drones will still be in effect. Only new models will not be able to get FCC license, hence get banned from the US market.
@WetPets-gl2ts so the next argument is if that is the only change how does their argument even make sense as the “dangerous” “threat” will still be in use…(all friendly just curious)
@@spireEngineering6523 The bill mainly targets the commercial drones as well as those for government use. Some local government agencies already banned the use of DJI drones. This will give everyone time to replace the existing DJI drones with other (probably CCP made) drones. The bill is not designed to completely ban all DJI drones in the US, rather slowly phased them out. Also, with the chip technology ban on DJI, it will give others a chance to catch up.
if you look up on chinese govermental rules ........ they can ask any information gathered by any chinese companies product when they want ! so yeah .......... but i wonder how our own goverments handle it , oh yes , they need a good reason to track you , or get your data from your device ....... and thats where it changes to china , they can use any data for anything at any time .... hacking , blackmailing , spying ( piggyback from your device at critical or highly wanted information from your company ) , or plain acusing you of spying would you be in china ........ or you are anti CCP and you enter china unknowingly that they know ......... arrested !
@@frazer1988 Some countries actually ban all drone use or require permits that are extremely hard to get. Others put a tax on the drone so high that normal people cannot afford one. I wouldn't get hung up on DJI drones, the chip technology ban on DJI and CCP will eventually allow others to catch up.
Solution: learn to fly FPV like a real pilot and stick to analog for your FPV camera; leave your fancy 4k footage for the GoPro. This will be good for FPV. A lot of FPV pilot don't run DJI head units for the exact reasons you mentioned: its a fully enclosed system, unlike the open source available to other models. No sane individual is willing to give up their home address, and constant drone position for 60FPS 1080P FPV camera... If you REALLY want FPV digital, then go with a WalkSnail VTX/RTX, and its considerably more open source than DJI.
My main use was follow me and gps locked flight as I do the action activities and shoot the footage. Sadly I can’t ride mountainboard and bikes while flying fpv. I plan to switch to fpv for all other shots when my budgeting allows. Currently practicing on sims while I build my budget and go through some things. For some people they really needed the dji drone equipment for their jobs. Hobbies. Health restrictions and more. For instance police and fire rescue. Agriculture. Etc But I agree fpv is an amazing options for those who can do it.
@0Ciju0 don’t get me wrong I have done light riding with flying but yeah real action shots aren’t going to happen 😂. Also hurts those with disabilities who can’t control a no positioning drone. But I do see your point to. But with how much dji has in revenue they could definitely open a secluded US based server
I only am concerned in the fact that they may simply update the flight mapping for satellites and craters the us a no fly zone for the dji making them simply not take off. That and the fines if one is caught
I am not a professional and personally I am keeping all my equipment in hope it gets changed back. As of now if it fully goes through you would have until 2026 before it goes through but I hope it gets somehow overruled. It’s a hard call.
@@spireEngineering6523 Also, wouldn't previously "legacy" devices just be grandfathered in? Usually there is a transition period of a few years, and anything prior to said transition period will be considered legacy and not affected; its all future products, post transition period. I could be very wrong, but in the past that's how even "small arms" were dealt with in the US.
Thank god I’m living in Australia, I recently bought an Air 3 (2 months ago) and if this were to happen after I bought mine, I would have been incredibly devastated.
The same thing happened with Huawei in the States. It had absolutely no effect in Australia. They are still openly advertised at football games and have a tall building in North Sydney. I'm not worried. What was explained to me is that dji regularly updloads your flight data and photos to thier cloud. The U.S. or the user has no control over that data. This is were the problem lies.
There’s been no movement on that bill since may man. Idk where you get your info but I just looked at it. Hr2864. We are fine. And dji just partnered with anzu. In the USA.
its your choice if you buy something from a questionable goverment ... as they own 50% of all chinese based companies ! so they can take any data they want without legal reason ! same with any product you connect with your company computer as example ........... or phone filled with sensors and locators ......... there has been a time that most phones listened to anything said ......... thats why most phones now locked can not respond to commands or you push your power/unlock button !
@jeroenberkenbosch7072 that’s the point tho if you don’t care you should be allowed. It’s not like it really matters if you have a specific device for it and what are they going to do with your location in your own country. Not like they are pulling our countries weak points from civilian or other drone use. Almost anything someone records can already be found on the internet….. including our data.
@@spireEngineering6523 you would be surprised about what you claim there ......... you say they are not ............ but they can actualy ......... same as china is afraid of tesla`s scanning the whole area and find strange places where the goverment is active out of sight ! or "scanning" for comms not legaly for citizens etc. maybe to much james bond movies , but its surprising what others invent to hurt others or steal from others thru technoligy ! and not everyone is fond of drones flying around their "buildings" or private area .. and then you wonder why !
Bill still has to reach house and senate . It will be awhile before the law becomes fully passed. Our drones wont be paperweights for a while . Go fly and enjoy it. Everyone so overwhelmed with this ban shit . They been banning dji since dji became Dji . I flew earlier today and no issues.
Thank you very much for your input I appreciate when people are happy to share. I would love to hear how you interpret what is going on. As I said and you reiterated this was my opinion and understanding on the situation. I would love to hear your side to this as to improve my understanding if there is something I missed.
The truth is this: DJI is an extremely oppressive software, especially with use of DJI AeroScope. Its becoming a liability at this point- if not for the nation (like they argue), then for the individual. As someone who works in cybersecurity with a passion for FPV drones, DJI is anethsis of secuirty/privacy. The Chinese supported DJI in 2018 through a government fund worth $55.3 billion... The next thing your going to say is "if I am not doing anything illegal, why do we care if the government/foreign governments see what I do"...
Sadly that might be my only option. I had this motor new in box on my shelf and have a matching one I was using and I tried with all my controllers with the same result so I believe it was damaged in shipping or factory. I’m waiting to give the company a chance to help tho just have to put this project on hold for a bit I made an update video about my findings and will make another depending on what I have to do
I built the battery as you do in the video, but I have the problem that I connect it to the drone and the camera works and raises and lowers the landing gear, but in the app it shows a battery error and does not allow it. The drone flies and you never show the battery flying with the drone, can you guide me as to what could have happened please?
damn you are actually using the same board i have, curious how or where did you find the plastic mount you had for the wheelse before ? i'm not sure i can build the metal gears like you did
So awesome to hear you have the same board I got lucky to snag this one at a deal. before when I had belts I actually swapped the rear trucks out with a L-faster motor mount kit. It comes with motor mounts, belts. Pulleys. Rims with pulleys, and inner tubes. Not sure new pricing as it has been awhile but haven’t had any issues with it. (small bolt pattern only (can look for ones with both wide and narrow bolt pattern motors…so not completely be compatible with FLIPSKY 6384 or bigger without modding) feel free to reach out whenever
Are you going to do long content on this too? I have a go ped I want to convert to electric and I’m worried about cooling and care for the battery packs since I live in 120f+ sometimes. Pretty cool stuff man you’ll get more attention later on
Yes I am. I have a lot going on at the moment so I’m throwing in shorter project to fill space. I’m going to release and update/ sneak peak on the progress of this and other projects. If you need help converting I can’t say I’m a pro but I do a lot of projects and talk to a lot of people. You can feel free to reach out on facebook to (Spire Mbs) old channel name and Facebook hasn’t allowed me to change it yet but I help people on their projects regularly 👍👍
Hello, I am another subscriber, very interesting, great video, a question about how you reset the BMS so that the battery works correctly, and recognizes it in the DJI GO application, I await your response please, thank you very much for your attention, greetings from Peru .
Thank you very much for your support. I wish I could tell you. I got lucky to where it just worked. I guess some just didn’t lock themselves out after changing. I have another that is locked I am looking into getting to work. It is full recognized but won’t take flight. I have been playing around with the board and hoping I am getting close to a solution.
Sold that version going onto v2 right now. Range won’t be suck a big issue but I will also be running vesc so quick batt swaps will be easy with different packs. However I’m also working on a secret add one to help too with that and other issues 🤫
Sort by due to liability and my lack of spare time I release these videos so others may learn new things. I do not accept work producing what I make in videos for others. I hope our understand. If you have any questions feel free to reach out however and I will get back to you when I can. Thank you for watching my videos and feel free to leave any feedback as all is appreciated.
Here is the funny part. There is no welder. The is a dc bench supply running 60v 6a. If you touch the wires no arc just a small spark. The arc happens when you run it through an ac motor but not any motor. I tested 20 motors and this is the only one that makes an arc. Crazy right 😂
In all reality these we set to a very low voltage. I appreciate your concern. I deal with a lot of dc battery packs that are 50v-109v with 1000a discharge. I would never really charge these up and discharge at a high voltage like that. Even if I considered it I would have had proper insulated gloves first. 👍👍.
Have been using non pro for over a year with no issues. Got the pro, cause i've brocken the stick. And on first ride with pro I had my board runaway while i was coasting. That's the worst failure mode you can imagine - random full throttle. Luckily the board went into the bushes. I'm hesitant of ever using it again. I'll probably just repair my old vx1 with the parts from the pro.
Most of these controllers are magnet sensors that can get interference. 3DServices makes new thumb wheels using programmed potentiometers for some remotes. I would check them out and they might have a part for the vx1. Personally I have only had one runaway on any of my boards and it was a vx2 the plastics tab inside snapped on and caused it to lock.
Hello, have you ever heard or are familiar with the HSABAT Batteries for DJI Inspire 1 TB48/TB47 sold on eBay? If you are please share your thoughts. Thanks
I have heard of them and don’t see why they wouldn’t work ok but they are just a tab pricy might be cheaper to find someone with the bms bypass and rebuild with lihv rc batteries
I will research it and compare. thank you for the tip. I have an Inspire 1 Pro, I have two batteries that went bad, according to the DJI GO App one of the cells on each battery has slightly lower voltage than the rest. I have four good batteries to fly with but would like to repair the two bad ones without them blowing up in my face. I've tried to follow your video but the camera sometimes missed some points, so I didnt want to take the risk, us Marines are not the sharpest knives in the drawer when it comes to this stuff. I figured I'd buy one of these HASABAT batteries and give it a go, just wanted your expertise and thoughts on the matter. Thanx again@@spireEngineering6523
Hello. I am about to try to build and follow your video and diagram step by step. Could you give me more information if this worked? If someone has tried it they don't want to try it to no avail or damage both the plane and the batteries. Thank you very much and I hope someone can answer me.
I am happy to help. Sad to tell you it’s a 50/50. We did many batteries and half or less worked. They don’t damage the drone tho if built right. The only thing the ones that don’t work do are turn it on and it all functions but it just won’t take off.
Thank you very much for answering my question. and I ask you again those that did work, did they manage to work in the same way? Or did they have some limitations or differences? And well, all that remains is to try and make it work. Thank you very much again for answering. greetings from Argentina@@spireEngineering6523
@pabloalmada7858 the cells I used in this video had some limitations the range was around 70% of the original however there are better cells on the market like molicel p20a, Sony vtc4, or another great option that is sometimes easier for some people is to get fpv 4s lihv batteries with matching or higher mAh. This is the best performing option but may run a bit more money but still by far less than a new dji battery
