Hello, I wanted to know why some project managers have to calculate the time frame with a formula I forget the formula basically it’s like a math problem you take 2 , 5, I can’t explain it why not use software to have an estimation on how many weeks it would take for a project to be completed?
Do you provide project management mentoring? I know the theoritical knowledge but I lack the practical skills. So do you provide such a service or do you know of anyone who provides such service?
Hi! I’m a career coach with 14 years of professional and management experience! This is simply one example of a good answer. Here’s some more info that might help: Being asked about your greatest strength in a job interview is a great opportunity to REALLY sell what makes you an outstanding professional and the right person for that specific job. When answering this question be sure to: 1. Be confident, the interviewer will only believe what you’re saying if you believe it too. 👩🏻💼 2. Connect the answer back to the job you’re interviewing for. If the role requires good leadership skills, explain something about your personal experience in leadership or how you have a natural ability to bring people together to achieve a common goal - sell what’s great about you, but tie that back into the job. 🎀 3. Be extremely positive! You should radiate excitement when talking about your strengths. ☀️
About to graduate from Marquette University undergrad, with s Political Science and Criminology degree. I have gotten reached out to by employers via Handshake for Project Management positions. I an just curious as to how likely it would be to actually one of these jobs and what exactly are some skills I should either possess or further develop. I have been s supervisor at some Construction companies leading groups from start to finish etc with projects.
If they’ve reached out to you, you definitely have a shot. Supervising construction projects is DEFINITELY project management. You likely already have many of the skill you need, you just need to highlight those transferable skills on your resume and while giving your interview. Try looking up project risk management, budget management, timeline management, resource management and project quality management and connect back those areas to what you’ve already had experience in. Message me on I G if you’d like to chat more (@careercoach.melissa)
Yes for sure. Your skills will be transferable. Feel free to book a call with me and I can help talk through the details with you. The first thing you’d want to do is ensure your resume and LinkedIn are optimized/revamped with all of your transferable skills and market you for the types of roles you want. About working in another country - the great thing about project management is that it’s processes and language is consistent across the world. Good luck!!
