Tbh I don’t like High school fleet because 1# who for all that is holy in there right mind decided to give some high school girls ww2 imperial Japanese navy destroyers and think that would be strange, 2# the helmsman is so winey and always worried about something it’s annoying as heck at least the helmsman in admiral is calm and not worried about hitting a darn gone reef ,finally 3# the uniform for the girls are inaccurate if you want to create a show involving with historically accurate ships and weaponry at least give them proper uniforms and I know it’s a show and all but that’s just my opinion not many people have to agree to it including the high school fleet fans

I wish more people would make Gate style anime, if there's something i would change tho it'd be for magic to be an actual threat considering it straight up defies physics and science. I feel like the only time i've seen it be a real threat was in Drifters and Arcanum, but Drifters isn't really a Gate style anime imo and Arcanum takes place in a 19th - 20th century fantasy world and not an Isekai.
I once ran an rpg campaign based on GATE where a gate opens in Siberia in the late 80s and a whole rogue Soviet army division goes through it after the failed coup. We ended up recreating the Russian empire and had an epilogue where we mauled the JSDF when they showed up. Good times.
