Is there an option with ODIS to change module values? My electric tailgate closed value is 66% instead of zero in section 6D trunk electrics, it only opens a third, then strains the motors trying to close another 66%.
As much as I appreciate the video explaining the thing. I find a book with bookmarks easier to navigate . I understand that I am becoming a dinosaur,. Does the software support printing through windows dialogue ? ideally not restricted to one page at a time. I've printed entire PDF manuals double sided and bound them to get my head around things.
Have a ? for you I use odis daily but! I have a laptop with odis installed on it (an outside version but just like VAG) with the original dongle. But was told the dongle need to run with a USB converter cable. How can I make it run normal without a USB converter?
Hi. The head connects to the laptop using USB cable. Do NOT try to connect using wi-fi, as it may cause corruption of the ODIS software, and is slower than using the cable. see www.vaglaptop.co.uk for latest ODIS pre-installed on a laptop
Hi we bought a computer from you about 3 yrs ago the bios battery has gone dead and we cannot set the date for the computer as the bios is password protected can you help with this regard william

You change the date within Windows as follows; Click on time & date in bottom right of screen Click on 'Change date and time' Click on 'change date and time' button Make corrections Click 'OK' button Click 'OK' button This updates the BIOS also If on Windows 7 you may get the 2020 virus, that states you need to upgrade the software. double click on the ReadMe icon on the desktop, to see how to get rid of this Regards, Dave.
Thank you. Just so you are aware, we now have 2022 updated combo laptops for BMW and VAG vehicles. This includes full module auto discovery for all years, via our multi-boot system. You just select the year period for the vehicle to boot into relevant software release. It also has Erwin boot option for serious reprogramming and component protection.

on top of the timing belt cover, it has a bar code sticker, or in boot (usually quite a few stickers in there ) or check your V5, the first few letters preceding the engine number characters 🙂

@@hg.m1600 yes there is, ELSAWIN, it's a vw workshop repair program ,and ETKA, which is a parts finder,also easiest of all is VCDS,as you plug into the vehicle and get on to address 1 (engine) all the info is there automatically on the 1st sub menu when it connects with the ECU with the vehicle, hope that helps,you can search for 'partsfinder' or EURO CAR PARTS/GSF/TPS, etc,tap in the 'Reg number of vehicle and it will provide type of engine automatically, you can also do a quick 'HPi' search, just enter reg number, and it will return all the details regarding that vehicle, hope this helps.
Mine has failed this test after changing the oil and clutch pack. Now i have a persistent error that cannot be erased with any tool i try ODIS/VCDS. Better try your luck with tha VCDS first. Odis has ruined my car.
Can this software diagnose what’s wrong with Sat Nav/radio/phone etc unit. I have been told l need a complete new unit. It’s very expensive to change and l wondered if it could be fixed.

04:08 without job. I dont see this option in odis? Mine cancel the diagnose option. I have a dp number but no geko or svm at the moment so i want to use it online. But without the job button it wint work.. any option to fix this?
What about if ODIS asks something about readiness code when exiting the app? More exactly: "The readiness code must be re-created. Do you want to do this now?" I've selected "no"
During the readiness test it will check the exhaust smoke pollution with the help of lambda probe. If u did any type of engine repair (related to emission) u have to do the readiness test. Every year after service you have to do the test especially in europe.
VAS PC is very old and not used now on our laptops. We use the latest ODIS software, which is far more superior to VCDS, as it is fully guided with automatic coding and diagnostic routines.
What mean? The engine must not during this test step ? Engine running, idle or engine off? Please tell!in conclusion, engine must on, running durring all the test or are the moments when engine must stop?
