Alright handy videos..iv bought a lt80 for my son iv fitted new stater relay and fitted new starter motor and battery cleaned carb and put a rebuild kit in carb .. iam having trouble starting it it’s got the two pipes coming from petcock to carb does it have to be on prime to start then fuel on when running.. your help would be much appreciated.. cheers peter
Hi there yes that how it's ment to be but most times the fuel tap fails make sure when when take fuel pipe of carb that it is fuel is flowing when in the prime postion any trouble drop me a com.ent will try help best I can mate
I change the fuel tap to on off and reserve 1s because the original 1s fail too much if you change fuel tap it only has 1 pipe that comes off for the main fuel inlet and the other pipe that goes to top left of carb I block off
That's not for my boy he has lt 50 it's was just a vid to see if it would run again after been left to rot plus he likes fixing things am just trying to teach him young to fix instead of replace
@@backgardentips ah right sorry lol but that's brilliant mate my old neighbour taught me as a kid and haven't looked back since even turned it into a career for myself he'll have skills for life
Hiya, I was wondering if I could ask another question.? The electric starter never worked for me so I've always used the kick start. Just recently, it's got very stiff and I have to raise it up every time I kick it. It can take approximately 20 kicks to start and will work for 10 minutes or so before it conks. Any suggestions where I can start looking? Thanks
Im having the exact same issue. I ordered a capacitor and installed it and still no spark. Great spark with the battery but it seems like the capacitor is bad even with a good capacitor on it. May i need to charge the capacitor or something?
@@backgardentips yes, well a power generator/battery charger that I set to 12 volts. I have kept the capacitor plugged in and used wire to connect into the capacitor terminal with it still plugged into the bike. Then I plugged the battery power to the wires and started the bike. It runs fine but then when I unplug the battery power(with the capacitor still plugged in) the bike immediately shuts off. This is a new capacitor as well
@@backgardentips unfortunately I do not. Maybe I'll try to return this one. My only other guess is for some reason the magneto puts out voltage but just not enough for some reason
@motobevy7850 does it try to start then die .. thing is the capacitor is only to start it and the stator takes over so when u running it with the battery stator taking g over and working so your stator should be good witch leeds back to the capacitor faulty again mate
You can twist the choke left or right to set tick over some people dont know and when pulling choke out twist it with out knowing have you tryed setting that mate
@@backgardentips thanks for the quick response, yes i have tried setting the knob in both directions and it does not change much still starts and dies does not want to idle
Hiya mate I’ve got me self a apatche 100 it had spark and then just stopped all of a sudden there no chance u know what it could be or even one better if your close to me because I do recognise the accent hahah I’m from round Durham way
Sorry mate am miles away but the comon problem i had with them is the cdi likes to fail on them so i would start buy checking wire connections makes sure nowts loose then spark plug cdi then stator my gess would be the cdi keep me updated
He's lost his rear chains & it looks like his fronts are set at different lengths.... What a mess... I've had tough days, but none this bad... Poor bugger...
The pads were cheap name brand and after about 8 rides I had to replace them again. Just use oem pads it’s expensive but definitely last a lot longer. Also make sure you use Suzuki oil it has additives that make the pads last longer.
No sont think so but to test it i plugged 2 wires into where the capaciter plugged in and then touched them to pos and neg of a motor boke battery and you can then here the fuel pump kick in thays how i tested it
Hi there, I have a two wee apache 100s and the two of them will both start but won't run unless the air mixture is screwed right in and at that it will only take roughly 1/4 throttle. Have you come across this problem I can't seem to figure out what's going on. 🤷♂️
Hi there ive always had mine set at 1 and half turn out have you got original airfilters because they dont like k&n style 1s i always have problem with them and what is your needle clip sat at in the slider
@@backgardentips yeah it's all original.. If i set it to 1 and half it will not take any throttle just cuts outs, both quads doing the very same thing carbs have been out and cleaned servel times and iv adjusted the niddle and the only thing that makes them quater rev is screwing the air screw right the way in.. Its a real head wrecker 🤦♂️
What symtems you getting when kicking the bike does it start with a bump but not kick when was last time shims was check thats a common problem with 4 strokes
Gutted bro😭, I'm considering buying this engine, what would u say to that? Just to make sure it's same engine we're talking about, I mean the zongshen h/o z155 engine :) and buying it brand new online
Tbh mate ive not had alot of experiance with them but have seen alot of them posted for sale as just needs new kick start saft (this 1 aswell) and this seems to be a common problem with them
@@backgardentips yeah that's a common problem with ppl who don't kick them properly, they need to be kicked perfectly, it's not just like a 125 where u stomp down in anyway and it'll start lol, these need skill, theirs a specific method to doing it that the factory tell u to do, obviously just not many would know that unless then bought brand new
Alright mate, I've got the same quad here and I'm having difficulty finding the spark plug port, yours seems to be in a different position. Any help would be great. Cheers
Yh it came to me none running i got it going that was just testing carb set up right exhaust got fixed after common problem with them cracking at manifold
