Mr. Mitsuru NAGAI was born in Osaka in 1934. The performance of the old piano man reveals the genuine aspect of each masterpiece. His performance and music comfort our souls.
My fav etude right now ❤. Just learnt the piece although it’s not perfect, nevertheless it’s great to see a person like this playing it. Heartwarming as always
What a clatter! This was the ultimate hit of the 19th century, if you look at the sales figures for the sheet music (sound recordings didn't play a role at the time or, at the fin du siècle, hardly played a role). The musical substance is almost non-existent, but is "balanced" for the listener by the bag of tricks of the so-called virtuosity of the performance. The typical performer of that time, the daughter of a good family who could afford the piano and the associated lessons, had to fight her way through the mass of all the superfluous notes. Later entertainment musicians had and still have it easier. They turn up amplifiers and effects devices and shout into the microphone - different times, different possibilities, but the same thing was and is served to the customers, i.e. making an impression. If you want to appreciate this high level of kitsch in a somewhat tolerable way, I can recommend listening to the following passage from the 1930 opera "The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny" by Bertolt Brecht (libretto) and Kurt Weill (music): www. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B8NK1_HVfEg.html; there from 36:50 on. Have cabaret fun!
Kuhlau would applaud this performance. This sonata is absolutely delightful to play. It is considered a late intermediate level so it is somewhat challenging but so much so. It lends itself to easy muscle memory which helps the player obtain the speed more easily.
j don't like Mozart here , too childish for an Adult , j prefer * for biginners pianists * Beethoven thema and variations * La Molinara " ; all students are worked those pieces
