I have a 2019 model so you’re starting to scare me but did they tell you why all those engine failures happened and is there anything to prevent it because mine‘s already out of warranty?
I have them on a '99 dyna FXDL. Stick with specified OE sizes. Wider require more lean angle at a given speed. Lean angle is what most Harleys run out of first. Rear compound has good resistance to going flat across the tread but it's a slick across the centre section. Not having any wear issues with the front but I don't know how they hold up to wet or temp extremes.
A good pointer I picked up from someone is to track your eyes where you want to go, NOT what you want to avoid. We tend to go where we're looking, which accounts for the seemingly magnetic pull of potholes, trees, etc. Look at where you're going not where you don't want to go.
i own a 2024 street glide. i rode a 24 road glide and i felt like the bike was so far away from me while riding it. the street glide feels like im part of the bike where the road glide feels kind of like im steering a boat
Poor kid. He is traumatized forever. The biker is at fault but that still doesn’t matter. At first I thought he was running but he just couldn’t handle what happened. Therapy for sure.
So, give yourself permission to slow down (not too slow). Look way ahead for obstacles to avoid, loose/deep gravel, holes and big rocks. Don’t make direction or speed changes in curves, in fact try to straighten curves.
I put Stage 1 (Bassani 2in1, SE intake) and 1" risers on handlebars (they're a little too low). Makes it a killer bike for backcountry roads. Looks, sounds, and rides beautifully! Love mine!!!
I love the style but can someone please explain the purpose of the 2.1 gallon tank? Just seems like you would be gassing up everyday if not multiple times a day
Today, the HD and the dealership failed both. Harley went wrong with ' demands and costs sucking every penny from dedicated loyal customers. Technology is far behind from Honda. (I had 6 HD and Honda), so I know what I'm talking about. Once you visit the dealership, they like sharks will bite off everything they can. This leaves a very unfavorable feeling. Next, my bike will Indian or Honda again if HD doesn't change.
Cop parks his car 200 feet away from the accident, walks up to a witness, starts to take a history, ask him a minute, interrupts the guy and says all right, let me go back to my car and get my notebook, and then walk back to the car to get the notebook but for some inexplicable reason he decided not to take when he got out of the car the first time. Training at work!
I don't know why but such an amazing thing to see how worried the dude in the car was you don't see that a lot with accidents mostly yelling and complaining. Glad everybody's safe and it's always awesome to see strangers come to help out.
little late here, sorry. i’m 5’8 and about 145, scrawny little bastard. Sportsters sit pretty low as is. i can sit down completely flat footed very comfortably with some bend in my knees and clap my hands (i know because i’ve done this) she will probably be on the balls of her feet, but it’s doable. i don’t think it would be a game of her bouncing back and forth trying to balance on her tippy toes. you can always lower them too. if you want something that is not only cheaper but less CCs, look into an Iron 883.
*Does Harley offer a riser for the Roadster? Or is there another bar with more pullback?* I'm ride mostly in the city and don't want to be positioned like a gargoyle.
