What motor and prop are you using? Currently have mine with a 2806.5 1700kv and 7x4.5 and it cruises in wind using around 7-9 amps and has a top speed of about 80mph pulling 30amps on a 4S 4500mah Lithium ion pack
I am using a SUNNYSKY 2212 1400kv with a 8x4.5 propellers with same amps around 9 while cruising. I dont use this one for speed but at maximum throttle (autolaunch) it will draw 24-30 amps. I am also using a 4s lion pack
First I would check what the motor is recommending. Next thing would be to perform a bench test, pay attention to cut your fingers, force constant throttle around 80% and check OSD how many amps and voltage is drawing. Next try it on the field, do not go to far and check it you manage to flight the wing at high throttles without damaging your lipo lion.

I've been flying for a while and this is the first time I experienced this situation. My main concern was to keep the wing on a good angle of attack and avoid stalling. Turning at that altitude was not the best idea but I handle to put the wing away from the wet land.
That tall grass sure helps with the heavy ones! Is that a 6x6 folder? I just picked one up off eBay, tried it for two packs on my VAS Wyvern and went back to a 7x5.5 fixed. How did you like the folder?
I have added my PID values on the description. Please pay attention on copying them. As written those are very high Ps that my servos can manage to handle as well as my wing customazation.
Out of curiosity, why does the compass keep showing north, even when you turned around? Edit: Perhaps it’s not showing the heading of the plane? I just noticed that it changed once you flew overhead? It seems odd behaviour!
Great plane from atom rc…. But their order management/customer service is terrible. I tried over 2 months to get my order right. They asked for the same pictures 3 times. The pictures were in their emails asking for pictures.(all they had to do is scroll down). They just wanted me to give up. They have one contact for the whole company. I did give up , never got a refund either. Super shady business.
They're a fantastic plane hey! Like your camera angle but can't see how you mount it beneath without damaging it on landing?? Lovely spot too. Looks like Oz ??
Nice. But maybe more interesting if you'd have been 5ft off the deck or sea for the first couple of Km's on the way out and back. I find that with good LOS, you can easily go 2+ Km while skimming the deck or sea in this case with DJI.
Nice setup and interesting location to fly in. What's the distance to those offshore wind turbines out there? Can this 6s Dolphin make it out there for a few aerial orbit shots of them perhaps? That would make for some awesome footage. You can fly low over the waves to get there too. 😄
They are exactly 3Km away and my video setup range is around 4km. Batteries and engine set up can easily go there. I've been several times but have not dare to fly low at that distance surrounded by turbines :)
Full throttle is not corrected. You shouldn't ever need full throttle with this model. It also appears that you are stick slamming with no Expo added to your controls. Pusher airplanes like a little tail weight, and a upward motor position to keep the nose up with very little thrust.
