missles missles are one way rockets I live in Huntsville 26 yrs Have only met a couple dozen actual natives. Most are transplants of government jobs/military.
Thanks for the video! I’m going there in a couple weeks and I plan on going very early for sunrise photography. Is there someone on duty that early to get a ticket or is it like computerized tickets?
Of course! That sounds awesome, I hope you get great shots! It is possible that the gates won't be open in time - the park "opens at sunrise". I would call them at 207-799-2661 to check with them directly. Alternatively, Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse is not gated and you can get GREAT sunrise shots here.
Huntsville is considered the Silicon Valley of the south, it’s one of the fastest growing tech cities in America. You couldn’t throw a rock without hitting an engineer and more West Coast folks are moving here every day.
Only transplants like transplants. We natives do not like all the "growth." The gentrification and congestion are not supported by the infrastructure. Plus, the rising cost of living is not on par with what the people who are actually FROM here find sustainable. The people who built this city are being priced out and marginalized. But I guess this is no more disgusting than what's happening all over this "great" nation of ours. Thanks for visiting and leaving. We love TOURISTS!
This is really sad to hear - and we actually had a very similar experience in Nashville/Franklin TN on our way south! Huntsville was a great city to visit - but are more than happy to be heading home as well! Thank you for your hospitality!!

On sundays a surprising amount of tourists come to town and visit. We call them the train people because they're always coming to check out the little train station on philly ave
How the heck did you basically skip Ohio to spend a week in Detroit? The fact that you didn’t even check any of our three million+ people cities or the number one thrill ride amusement park in the world(as voted by experts in the field)is disrespectful!
BOYCOTT COVINGTON KENTUCKY IF YOU VISIT CINCINNATI. Covington PD has a long and documented history of excessive force. Don't get a hotel room there, eat, of buy anything if you do you are cosigning bad behavior by contributing in taxes paid on goods and services to help finance the crime of excessive force.
I hope you have a great time! We definitely don't regret our visit, we just wish someone had level set our expectations (and we definitely prefer cities like Verona as well 😂) Let us know what it's like now that it's a couple of years later - I'm very curious!
We absolutely love our build layout and quality - we were actually just talking about this and wouldn't change a thing! @vanturecustoms did the conversion and they do AMAZING work!
