Excellent job, Ms Linda. At least you still have a steady hand came in handy. 😁. Not very easy repainting when it is assembled. But it looks tons better now. 😎👍🏼
Great job repainting that station 👍🏽💯…nice steady hand……if you have to do it again, try Tamiya masking tape if you need to mask, comes in different widths…
Nice. I'm working on an N scale version myself. At 9:25, you tapped on a sprue not knowing what those parts were, if you haven't figured it out by now, they are side wall drainpipes for roof rain. Also, you said there was no foundation but, the sidewalk is the foundation. Looking good. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for sharing the video 📺 Baseboard layers can only hold baseboards, the 'Using Baseboards' and 'Layer Types' chapters in the user guide provide more background information as well as our 'Railmodeller Pro Tutorial #2: Working With Baseboards' (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nyth8tRVxRs.html) here on RU-vid 👍
Its always nice to see a model of an actual location. Good luck with the build. I have the track plans of a couple of nearby yards ( that no longer exist ) to replicate; if I live long enough!!!! LOL. Thanks for sharing that.
Research is the best way to develop a pretty decent representation of the real world for your layout plan. I used to be a member of the Santa Fe Historical Society and was able to get a wealth of information about trackage and stations….😊
Such a fun part of the process. Take your time and have fun. I’m going to put some money down and say no matter what plan you choose, you’ll want to make changes in a few months. 😊
you fried your motor the wires are over amp. Causes of this pressing the controller longer then two seconds, running too many boards on the accessory bus, switching the polarity or the wires at the power pack, and the biggest cause of turnout shorts placing tools on the track over the points and the frog. If you are going to run turnouts you need two busses one to power the signals and the locomotives and one to power the turnouts and the snaps these need to be connected to the relay on oppose sides or you will get a short. Also Atlas says in the manual Never Hold the Controller Longer Then Two Seconds! if you hold the controller longer then two seconds the magnet will buzz and if you don't cut the power to the turnout or you go over volt you will fry it I know because I did that before.
I will be interested to see how I go about this also, still in the planning stage and doing a lot of research. Will keep you posted! Thanks for checking in.
I had the same problem with my Atlas 541 remote turnout. I could throw it but not close it. While thinking about the problem my subconscious came up with an idea. Change the polarity. So I switch the switch leads and tried it. Now I could close the switch but not throw it. What does that tell you? The switch is fine, because you can close it or throw it depending on the way it’s wired. So I reconnected the wires to the Digitrax controller. Problem persisted. So, the only thing remaining was the snap connector between the controller lead and the switch wire. I replaced the connector, and boom, the switch worked in both directions. Process of elimination. “When you have eliminated everything else, the one thing that remains, no matter how improbable, is the answer.” - Sherlock Holmes
FYI; building kits will have left over parts, some are optional, but main reason is the part tree may be used for several kits. I ran into this over 40 years ago. By the ways the hexagon clear plastic is for a different merchant row kit. the one with a 2 story turrent on the end,,row 2
Nice job on your streets!! Cant wait to see the next update - you mentioned starting over and moving to modules. I just subscribed and really hope you continue.
Thanks for sharing this last glimpse of your layout Linda. Sorry to hear that you are taking a pause, but I do understand. Always loved your videos, so looking forward to when you resume and following along with your rebuild. Art...
I'm glad to hear from you. Sorry to hear that you packed up your train. I hope to hear from you soon as you build your modules. Thanks for the update and God bless you and your family . See you soon....Wilmer
No I don't think I had any particular area in mind, just trying to make it look like rocks, probably had the image burned into my brain from watching so many videos on making and painting rocks, thanks watching and your comment :)
LJR - Loweville Junction Railroad - You’re welcome. I agree, Linda. With me, I kept going back to the video and watching what the person did, coz mine was not looking like his rock. HA HA.
