@@Rugbyforlife_girl I remember you! 😃Still here for the ride! Wow! 😁 Well, I plan to go into RU-vid full time in the future... 😉Kinda gotta let life get to a place where I can do that first though... might be a long ride, but hey... I plan to come back more than ever someday!
Depends on the situation and how beneficial vs non beneficial the extra moves will be. Figuring out if it's worth it or not is sort of on a case-by-case basis 😁
Hey man, so .... A lot has changed in my life for me. RU-vid has shifted way back and I have no time for it at the moment. I'm otherwise occupied with life stuff, and it's going to be this way for a year or more. However, I am in the process as well of setting myself up to pursue RU-vid full time in the future - I intend to do that as a living. So keep your eyes out and I hope to go full time one day when I'll upload a video which'll explain everything 😄
Thanks very much! 😁When I learnt Cross+1, I had to do dedicated practice where I'd literally scramble the cube with the intention to plan Cross+1 and then I'd give myself as long as I needed to find the best +1 case. In a single day, I used to practice cubing for upwards of 8 hours, but a lot has changed for me since then and I now barely cube for a single hour some weeks. Hope this helps! 😄
@@joelhibbert4113 thanks for breaking it down. But how long did it take to see results of ur practice in an actual solve? and did u deliberately plan cross +1 every single solve during the practice period
@@arafatshah4973 Because of the way that I practiced, I began to see results almost right away. I'd spent as much time as I needed to pre inspect my cube, and then I'd just solve it as per normal. But because I had taken as long as I needed to get the Cross+1, my solve was that much faster because of it.
I see you do a bunch of low moves to make a f2l pair but people always say to learn it but I dont know where, and for advanced f2l id tried to learn but its not helping me because im learning it wrong or something
Advanced F2L isn't learning fancy algorithms or things like that. It's just knowing how to best pair up your pairs 😄 Don't be fooled by the word "advanced". At the end of the day, we're all doing the same thing to solve the cube. Just some of us more efficiently than others.
When you plan your first pair do you always force it to be solved into the back or is it ok for it to be solved into the front? Also, is the goal to find the best possible first pair during inspection or simply finding one is enough?
When I plan out my first pair, I generally will try to solve it into the back, if that's practical. It doesn't HAVE to always go into the back slot though, and if you plan it for the front right slot and then do a y' rotation immediately afterwards, that gives you a back right slot solved. As for the question about finding the best possible pair, no you don't HAVE to find the best possible pair - sometimes that's super difficult to do, especially if you have an 8 mover cross. So just finding one to start off with is definitely better than nothing! All the best with your practicing, if you have any more questions, feel free to drop a comment and I'll reply as soon as I'm able 😁
Awesome video! Love your efficient style of solving that never gets more complicated than necessary, exactly what I'm looking for myself. Maybe consider doing another one of these example solve videos in the future if you find the time.
Thank you for the comment! And yeah, for sure, I'd be more than happy to make this kind of video again in the future! Might be a bit harder as I've begun full time work (which I'll announce in a soon coming video explaining why I haven't made the Aussie Nats vlog yet), but I'd be down to do that!
Practice, practice, practice. It took me over a month before I was doing it comfortably on easy scrambles. Even today, I still struggle on hard scrambles.
Going to my first cube competition competing in the 3x3 and will probably check out the pop up store at competition and it’s the south west ga solvers 2023
@@joelhibbert4113 still havent seen you... although i did scramble you for both skewb and 3x3 today. ill be on the lookout for you tomorrow... also i came 180th in 3x3 so just made it lmao
you can pretty much enter whenever u want. i got nats this weekend and im averaging abt 18ish but my first comp i averaged around 30ish so your at a good point id reckon
Whenever you want man! As @Nat0_ pointed out, it can be whenever you're wanting to go. Competitions are about fun first, comp second, so if you're in it to win it, don't go until you're fast enough for a podium, but if you just want to go to have a blast, meet some new cubers and actually get your results recorded officially, then go for it! 😄
