I love your hair and the texture of it. ❤. I am restarting my natural journey, but i have😊 knotting issues when i wash my hair. What should i use for my hair? I know i need to cut the remaining perm off 😩.
I tried olaplex 10, I have frizzy curly hair that is always in a bun. I saw another video which suggested using g olaplex no.5 but I don’t have that one, instead I used k18 and then olaplex 10 and I can say the result looks amazing! I don’t think my curly have looked this good for over 10yrs ! Good luck to everyone else on their curl journey
I would love for my hair to clump together better and be less frizzy however, I worked for Sephora and learned through an app that oleplex was toxic. Like extremely toxic. I'd like to try it but I don't know. YOUR hair is always beautiful. I love the way it turned out. I'd love to ask you a few questions about my hair!
I wonder would it work better if it was in a spray bottle vs applicator bottle. Especially those who have thick hair and wanna make sure it’s saturated good.
When you’re thirsty you reach for a glass of refreshing water. 💦 You don’t reach for a cup of oil to rehydrate your body, right? (Do you see where we’re about to go with this?) …So if our hair is “thirsty” why do we reach for oil as the solution? The shampoo and conditioning process is the best time to allow your hair to “drink” water. 💎 💁🏾♀️TRY THIS: The next time your hair is dry, show it love by starting from scratch. Do a full wash day regimen, allow the hair to drink water and then lock it in with your favorite leave-in/oil duo. If you found this helpful pass it along to someone who may. 🫶🏾 #curleducation #healthyhair #hairgrowth #hairmyths #fayettevillenc #curlyhair #naturalhair
Olaplex is giving us a run for our money! They also came out with a leave in as well I’m definitely curious about the performance of these new products as I move away from strong protein treatments to bond builders in addition to regualr cleaning and conditioning with quality products that have some protein in them. I think I’ve been over using proteins so trying to reduce the frequency or types of proteins so my hair can have more flexibility and softness and not be as stiff.
Yes maam! You are absolutely right. I just saw the leave in and the other stylists in my salon has it. Olaplex realizes that the curly gives need products with a little more love in them and thus far it has not disappointed. (For what is says it will do). Sometimes we want a product to do something that it hasn’t even claimed it will do. Also yes protein can be wonderful and great but bond building is on a whole other level. So kudos to you for realizing what you hair needs and willing to invest in new products. Thank you for watching and taking the time to add a valuable perspective to the conversation. 🫶🏾🥰
Hi Jameelah, I missed the live unfortunately. Can you give me your thoughts on hot oil treatments and hair masks included in the 5 steps you recommend?
Hey there! Sorry I missed you. I personally dont utilize hot oil treatments but know ppl who swear by them. The question I would have is why do you feel you need one and what has it been doing for your hair? Would you consider your hair healthy? Overall, an important product that is over looked as the solution for better hair is actually shampoo. We treat dryness with oil but if you were thirsty you wouldnt reach for a cup oil you would reach for a tall glass of refreshing water. Hope this is helpful. 🫶🏾
That makes a lot of sense, the analogy about drinking oil. I saw a video about hot oil treatments for hair growth and wanted your thoughts. I personally don't use them, I just see them recommended in a healthy hair routine. Thank you for responding!
I really like all the products on my girls hair. I did find one of my daughter's hair had several frizzy areas that I thought I covered. Maybe I didn't use enough of the gel. Thank you for all the tips!
Awesome! Yes with the green gel you almost can’t use too much. If an area is puffy or isn’t clumped well when wet simply apply a bit more gel to the area. Remember how the hair looks wet is how it will look dry. Practice makes better. By the third wash day you’ll be a pro. Remember these are just recommendations in the right direction. You still may need to try a few other products until you find “your” faves. 🫶🏾 Thanks for the follow up. 🩵
The issue is seeking help once you get a diagnosis you're. Now labeled and looked at differently. it also possibly threatens you're current lifestyle. Whether it be losing your children or being looked at as mentally unstable.
Yes I agree. My focus is ensuring that those who aren't certain and fearful of even asking for help that they are seen and heard. To me that's the first step that so many women don't take. In turn if more women were looking for assistance I feel as though the stigma would be lessened so we would be less judged. You know? In my experience, my label hasn't been a curse but I'm know that there are probably plenty of women who aren't being as accepted. This is the purpose of videos like these. The conversation has to start somewhere right?
Thanks for the detailed video!! Will you please demonstrate the use of these products on a tighter curl pattern...or would you recommend a different combo for a tighter curl pattern? Thanks❤
Sure thing! In the near future when I have a tightly curled client come in Ill be sure to get some footage for a short. Essentially the process is the same. You just may opt of a heavier cream or oil to pair with the gel for more moisture. I hope this is helpful. And if i can remember Ill tag you in the comments of the future video. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. 🫶🏾🫶🏾
YES MAAM! I just did a video on it. It hasn't released to the public yet but I got my hands on it and used it in the salon for the first time yesterday. More to come... 🥰
Thank you for sharing with us. Have fun and be safe. From North Carolina to Nola and BEYOND. Eve4ryone need to hear hair truths that delivered with judgment and craziness. Thanks!!!
Thank you so much! I had a blast. Im super excited to contiue to teach the natural hair gospel. If they will have me I will travel. We've gone misguided too long. 🫶🏾
I listen to this multiple times. I can relate to many things. I can't find your video in the main video section which was strange. I found you video from the algrothymn
☝🏾Unpopular Topic: Proper Tool Selection is as important as product selection. I hear it over and over that detangling is the most dreaded portion of wash day. So I recorded and shared my 7-Section Quick Detangling System over on YT. In this full-length video, I also go deep into a few tools that can help you effectively power through without damaging the hair. Improper or rough brushing can lead to breakage. This subsequently is the enemy of length retention (along with infrequent trimming or not cutting high enough to remove all damage.) **Another topic for another video.** These two brushes are the @brushwiththebest and a dupe Amazon version of the UnBrush. Depending on the client’s curl pattern and detangling needs I’ll pick up one or the other and sometimes both. There are of course other tools. These are just two recommendations if you have anxiety and hesitation around wash day because of long detangling times. Generally, I am able to work through most client’s full heads in as little as 5-15 mins. PERIOD!!! The every day woman is a celebrity when she’s paying your bills!!! 💸 I LOVE THAT!!! I stopped seeing my last locitian (she started my locs) because she didn’t even notify her clients she was taking a month off. During that month I learned how to do my own retwist! lol don’t want to. I love going to the salon. It’s apart of self-care loving me days. However, when someone is paying money for your services you deserve to give them the best. ♥️♥️🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
