Hello, my name is Terry.

Formerly channel named koorta boodjor, but changed July 2023 to Terry's Trucking Videos.

In this channel, I present to you, scenes of Western Australia heavy oversize & general trucking videos. Ships and boats. As also wheatbelt farming scenes too!

koorta- boodjor meaning......heart land. As worded in local indidgenous Nyungar language.

Heavy oversize truck scenes, generally on Great Northern Highway, that heads north from the Reid and Roe Highways in Middle Swan, to the hills of Bindoon and beyond! ( Trucking videos at other places, included too.)

It'll be different, when the Bindoon Bypass is to be constructed.
The western re-alignment of Great Northern Highway, starting from Chittering Roadhouse, to New Norcia. Will make it easier and safer for heavy road transport, and travellers. ( Be no more heavy oversize trucking up Bindoon Hill!😢)

It's interesting the weather is totally different between the two locations. Pouring rain at the start and nice sunshine at the end. It's incredible this wheel loader weighs 106 tonnes, she's a huge machine. No wonder the bulldog struggles a bit at Bindoon Hill. But slow and steady always wins at the end of the day. Very fine catch Terry.

Hi Terry, as much as I watched these around the wrong way { part 2 first } 🤣 I'm thinking this would be one of my favorites... I think it's because you were able to get close to the trucks and get some great sound close up of the Macks and close up footage that you don't normally get out on the highway, and the boys trucks were looking superb under a grey sky, I also like rain ☔☔ we never see enough of it in WA, so I'm guessing the spare truck was to get them over a hill somewhere ???.... and loved the impatient driver getting hearded off the bridge 🤣🤣 ..... and I'm not sure if people know, buts it's not the weight on the bridge thats the issue, but the speed... they don't want you moving the bridge on it's abutments ... anyway, very cool couple of videos.... cheers mate 👌

Thanks Wilson. I did overlap between Part 1 & 2. Like it sorted of double backed to North Dandalup in Part 2. I was like a kid with Tonka truck toys in a sand pit. 😃🚛🚜. When I spotted the first Doolan's oversize load parked in the parking bay at Keysbrook. And yeah, you may have noticed that as the convoy, headed through North Dandalup. The Taylor Haulage Western Star, block truck turning off to the left. I did think at that stage. The driver was going to hitch up, for the Roelands Hill? Yep, the Doolan's Mack block truck would be used, for some tough climb or turning later on. I had to return back, so couldn't follow them anymore. Yes it was good, to be getting the Doolan's Macks, close up through the towns. Donnybrook town, would've been a challenge for the truck drivers, I reckon! And yes, we need more rain for the dams here in Perth.🌨🌧 Thanks for explaining the slow speed over the bridges, And yep the standoff with that motorist and pilots, was awesome. Thanks for watching, Wilson mate.

I really love Doolan's fleet, their Macks are pretty tough. I guess these substations are not too heavy, just long and wide. It's interesting that the second one is much smaller than the first. Do you have a new camera? The colors are a bit different here than in the previous videos. The huge dump trucks are cool and the two K & S bulldogs are amazing too. Of course the double road trains are also great. Chittering Roadhouse is a good spot to catch these oversize movements. I'm sure the owner loves the fact that trucks regularly stops there and spends a lot of money on fuel and refreshments.

Plenty of footage there Terry, very good 👌👌, and of course 2 x 8.5 m wide trays heading north out of chittering, makes for a very busy road, my last return trip was via NW coastal highway, very relaxing drive down with no oversize to contend with, just a few caravans, but they should nearly be finished up north with the weather warming up 🌞🌞🌡🌡. back out and north via the coast road again tomorrow, only drop this time is Kununurra for 3 and on to Darwin, so should be a nice trip, cheers for the great video.... 👍

How would you like some past history about the mines opening up in our North. Seeing all these Iron Ore Rear Dumps by Road Transport reminds me it could have been different to Newman at least. Ex Premier Charlie Court was back in the day keen on rail tpt up there. The year was circa 1978 and he wanted a Standard Gauge line to Newman for a start. What he did at first was had the suitable Std Gauge rail and sleepers carted to and dumped next to the old 3ft 6 inch line to Meekatharra from Geraldton. However that was as far as the project got. As far as I can remember one reason to stop was the port facilties at Geraldton would never be suitable even with a big upgrade, and a new port was needed. The thing is it was the right decision to go North with the Port etc, However no one realised how big that industry would grow.
