@HotRod-wv4vm That is an option. I usually don't go that route due to cost. Plus I like getting the entire assemby so I don't and have to deal with possibly breaking plastic pieces off of the old one. Old plastic in the desert doesn't age well.
How do you drain the coolant out of the engine?? There is an engine side drain bolt that is used to drain the coolant out of the engine. If you remove the lower radiator hose instead will that drain engine coolant?
I just replaced the serpentine belt on my Honda Accord I noticed its overheating which it didn't over heat before it snapped I did notice where coolant goes the little white cap on the hose is cracked could that be the issue
I have a question. I just installed a new brake booster on my van. I noticed that when I pulled the brakes. There is coming out from between the booster and the master cylinder is there supposed to be an absolute airtight vacuum or is that normal?
great video, yesterday I just did a over haul on my wife's altima AC system . Every year she complains about her AC and it has gradually been getting worse . It was still working but temps would go no lower than about 65 degree , after a new condenser / compressor / expansion valve / all new seals ,the AC is blowing at 40 degree (about 80 degree F outside temp).
Will this reset the window child lock feature ? My problem is I cant get any of my passenger windows to roll down at all only the drivers side in the front. I press/ depress the button and it doesn't unlock . None of the individual window up down switches work either
Big Dawg! Thank you for this video. Just finished this job on my Civic and kept referring to this to guide me through it, car runs great now. Had the same issue as others in comments, car stalled during hot day, coolant temps normal, followed by crank no start, after about third attempt to start the engine ran ROUGH, let it cool down about 30 min and able to fire up again and drive home. Have been dealing w/ a P1457 evap code over the last couple of years but never really made much of it. After first time stalling during hot day, I let engine cool down and unscrewed gas cap and audible hiss w/ pressure release heard, thought maybe vacuum issue w/ fueling choked engine out (?), car fired back up drove home, no CEL, started unscrewing cap every couple of runs since, got a new filler cap and check engine light was still off for about two weeks (yay problem solved....). Up until it stalled again during another heat wave. Both events occuring while at a stop, foot on brake, still in gear while idling. This time, CEL back up and throwing P1361. I guess 22 year old sensor was giving out on those hot days. Long story, but I appreciate your help, take care
Ok I am a subscriber for a while now I subscribed after you helped me with a video on my civic. Now you came through again I thought it was a blend door or an obstruction I was getting ready to tear open the dash. Nope just low on refrigerant. Thanks a lot
Another jack stand, # 56373 that was meant to replace the initial recalled 3 ton stands, was recalled in July 2020 due to a welding defect 😬 The information for the July 2020 recall doesn't seem to be as prevalent in google search results as the initial May 2020 recall.
My 2007 honda civic will lock the doors automatically once its been turned off after 30 seconds . The other day i came home turned car off left key fob in my console and when i came back out to get it my doors were locked ….is there a way to disable this auto lock feature once car is turned off
3 years later and this video is still helping people make this repair. Great video, easily the best one I found on the internet, making it very easy to follow and understand. I made this repair on my son's car and it was extremely helpful. Well done!
Thanks so much!! I learn more from your videos than most any other youtuber, especially when it comes to Hondas. I never thought to check to see if both cooling fans are working properly. Now I will.
Thank you for the video. I'm learning HVAC automotive servicing. Can you confirm whether the Robinair 34988NI A/C Machine can adjust the PAG 46 system oil capacity to the correct level if the oil level was either under or over filled before servicing?

I have a 2004 honda civic sedan and was able to pull down on the metal rail attached to the window motor to yank the window down. The issue was the motor assembly cable had snapped into two preventing the window from rolling down.
I watched several videos on Civic door handle repair. Was shopping around for a replacement which ranged from cheapo plastic ones from $10 up to a (discontinued) special order OEM one in the correct color from a Toronto Honda dealer for >$200 Canadian. Also sent an inquiry to a parts place in Japan which did not have and could not get one. Minutes before watching your video i decided to attempt an epoxy repair of the same damaged plastic pivot point as that was the only damage i could see. I let the repair cure overnight, put everything back together and, so far it's holding together. Your video should help a lot of people!
That fan you think isn’t working, isn’t actually supposed to come on unless you have the AC on. That’s the condenser fan. It’s not supposed to turn on with the Radiator fan. They work separately.
Thank you so much for this video! I purchased a part with no wiring diagram, and nobody and I mean nobody would help me identify the proper wiring configuration. The part I was sold add all the same colored wires, without your diagram I was lost. Thank you
Very informative video 👍. Thank goodness my leak isn’t at the boot. It’s leaking at the bottom connection of the pressure line and made quite a mess around there.
