Are there catches to this game? When do they get to go on the trips, do they choose or is it already booked? And do they get the car in their name or do they have to pay the tax on it first?
In the late 90s, my buddy went on the show and won a trip to Switzerland. But they would only fly him out of LA. Since he was from Boston it was worthless, so he just didn't get the trip. But he did win a 17,00 car which the show took back in exchange for 10,000 cash. Probably operates different now as opposed to 20 years ago, but that's how it was.
Of what Ive heard, you have to pay the taxes first on the car, before you can have it or exchange it for money. The trips are tricky as explained above. Any money is taxed as well. I've always wondered if someone could give a prize to another contestant or switch after the show lol.. probably not.
CBS is the worst network ever it always cuts off the price is right to talk about news the news has its own time to deliver. And then I can't see the price is right I hate it price is right I wish you were on a different network.
+Finn MacDonald Wow for once we have the upper hand here in Canada--in Toronto my service provider carries TPIR on two channels, one of which is regularily pre-empted (if that's proper terminology) by US "breaking news" clips and the other which is a Canadian feed and doesn't give a hoot about Obama's latest on-air address.
