I grew up with the version of the theme tune at 1:27, with the individual letters appearing and random (in my eyes) people clapping along, which always made me chuckle! As for the theme tune itself, one word - iconic. Thanks for uploading this, great memories! ☺️

i have a distinct memory of this music playing in 2014, and it gave me lots of nostalgia as it was the music of an object show content creator's intro i believe they made the color challenge
the problem i ran up against was, there is no memory, when power is off and you restart car, you have to reset it, all settings are lost, there is 1 blue wire left over im presuming is for auto antenna, any ideas gladly appreciated.
I'm looking to do this on my Astra. Any idea if the steering wheel controls works following installation? Did they work natively or did you require an adapter of sorts?
I believe it's Andrew Lloyd Weber's variation of 24th Caprice by Paganini. I don't think there's a full length version of the SBS theme, I believe it was done specially for the show.
In frustration just ramming radio toward engine lol also theres a harness attatchment to get ur steering controls back mine work just waiting for RCA cables and the correct radio adapter to arrive
Alright m8 u cut out the part i needed on ur mk4 astra clip did u remove the plastic casing behind the bracket in there? I feel like its in the way but needed?
Hey Kyle, I removed the old bracket entirely and replaced it with the silver one in the video. This did mean that the leads to the speakers and controls were left dangling - hence the frustrated line about fighting the leads! Hope that helps! I've now updated the information in the Astra video to reflect this a bit better.
Unfortunately I spent too much time in fighting getting the stereo into the car I wasn't able to video at the same time. Complete failure on my part I'm afraid
There are a lot of (much better) videos showing this process - I found several before attempting this myself... unfortunately I can't remember which ones I'd used!
how had you connected it without losing permanent memory? or the display memory,for me every time I turn off and on my car, memory resets and I have to set it up every single time,it's very annoying
