Our first ever flight on the ATN 787-9 Dreamliner was last year in May 2023. We sat in Economy Class, which was okay. Next year in May 2025 we are again flying on ATN 787-9 in Premium Economy. Hoping the upgrade cost is worth it. LAX to Tahiti is 8 hours non-stop.
Great job, and a pretty good video. Perfect compilation, especially because of the many spots with different viewing angles and the famous sights near the runway. I was also at this special airport last week and had very similar material and the great surroundings have not changed in the past 5 years.
The ultimate urban airport experience period.- Fantastic video 😮 its ‘90s travel vibe gives me the goosebumps, simply love it! Sad though never flew to KaiTak only to HKG International, Hong Kong is still an amazing must-visit place ❤
My husband was with CX and I recall sitting in the cockpit on one occasion in the 80s. I’ll never forget that thrill of coming over the mountain and down between the buildings as we descended and down onto the runway by the sea.
Blimey the Lufthansa A321 definitely had a nose wheel first landing... He was lucky-ish. The gear certainly took weight JUST before the main wheels contacted.
Love it. The contrails vary so much.. Is it just the incident light? When I first looked I thought one engine was down on thrust! But they are seemingly often asymmetrical. I am an ancient plane spotter who had a (I think) better time to watch, when we had many more exciting aircraft... And MUCH noisier. We used to have the Soviet Tu154s and 134s and Il62s often flying in to London, as well as Comets (Dan Air) Concordes daily- what a noise they made...Crackling, rumbling ear splitting. VC10s, Tristars, All the McDonnel Douglas and Boeing aircraft of course and loads of Tridents, Viscounts, Vanguards, Brittanias, etc. I also visited an airport in Canberra in the mid 70s which was full of DC4s, 6s, 7s.. I saw the Spantax Convairs in Spain. Always wanted to fly a 990, but never got the chance. Great channel. Subbed. Very beautiful images.
I worked as a skycap in MSP for Northwest and later Delta for 26 years between 1985 and 2011.That Northwest 747-400 was such a beautiful aircraft. It was probably one of those that used to operate nonstop between MSP and HKK at that time.

Cool stuff! I recently came across a video of yours of a 747 suffering a burst tire on takeoff. May I feature this capture in one of my upcoming episodes? Of course with a link back to your original video, I‘m sure this can bring you some views or even new subscribers :)
