No inspiration by monks and no pushing when his army doubled the English was his demise. He had 3 moments he could take it but he chose to let him breathe, never ever give the English time to breathe. Awesome casting
Why do these players just refuse to trade? Even with civs that don't have buffed trade, it's still a net-positive when it comes to out-booming. Red didn't have to contend with any raids on his back and could have set up a 2-3 market route at pretty much any point...
Because you have to defend an enormous part of the map for it to be successful. Trade is a huge investment that takes a while to pay off. Sure, if you set up a trade route and can defend it until Imperial, you are good, but the opponent wil rarely give you that opportunity, and pro players will never give you the opportunity.
Enclosure is indirectly buffed. Since farming is yielding less food, every civilization has to put more farmers to reach the same food income. Therefore English gets more gold from farms.
"theres only 4000 gold in the base" me who has just finished watching two videos of Beasty's "Trade Only": Oh but there is something else in the back of that base!
wow my friend told me there is no buff for the English!! Now I see your video and I am absolutely shocked!!! Thank you Drongo for your transperancy in this game so I am better informed about the new patch! Love you ♥
dislike this patch. that mass archers with little micro wins the 5 mangos and cav. Aoe4 was known as decision making master pieces. But this patch online it becomes the shot and dodge game. every one just mass archers and do the dodge and shot dance. who get hit will lose. no civ different at all, no decision making at all. Since archer is too powerful now with heavy infantry are nerfed, and mango cant shot probally now.
Everyone is saying mango nerf, siege nerf bla bla bla. but they all forget, They have taken out every single ranged siege counter. Only way to beat siege is to break through the enemy's front line and hit em with your cavalry or melee infantry. Thats a bigger buff to mangos than any nerf they did to em. here's the real question; how does one defeat GBB or sushi's legacy splashbards now? you basically must win the battle first, then kill the siege, but you cant win the battles with such a siege advantage. Basically ottoman gets to GBB with a decent eco and GG unless its sushi's legacy, whos splashbards hard counter GBB.
Ranged units can kill most siege now, with the mango having the least ranged defense. You’ll see when this patch goes live that a longbow mass can basically 2-shot a mangonel. It will be a dance of micro vs micro, which is awesome for the game.
You shred the front line with spingalds and then shit on their back line/mangonels. I think springalds are actually going to be better than mangos now.
@@ashtonmayfield9217 yes, but i never said they were OP, just buffed, what i called OP was ottoman GBB and zushi splashbombards. With proper life formation battles, springs are much less effective than splashbards and GBB, as well as archers and other ranged units still do terrible against them. interested to see how people beat that, though to be fair 99% of games dont go to late imp where large enough numbers of them come out so i guess who cares?
