Some 2000 years back, an Arab poet by the name of Ibn-e-Rasheed, famously remarked 'Let no man write poetry who does not remember 200,000 couplets of other poets'. Those were times of less chaos, less distraction and no Netflix. So let's scale the above to the tempo of our lives and allow poetry to punctuate our incessant existence.
This project, in part, is a personal pilgrimage to the confluence of Hindi, Urdu, English and Punjabi poetry. It's a self-disciplining exercise and a meditation as much as it is a celebration of words. While reading poetry has its own charm, the cadence and rhythm of language comes alive only during it's recital. So brings your baskets and wear your sunday smiles, from the ripe verses of the veterans to the carousing of the contemporaries, we have some poetry-picking and tasting to do!

Ma'am you narrated it so well. Gaurav Solanki ka ek hi likha kayi baar padha jaaskta hai aur har pichli baar se zyda dooba jaskta hai <3 Though I havent read Sau Saal Fida but still all his poems, stories including 'Gyarahvin A ke ladke' are more than enough to make you realise the reality of this World. Though there are many IIT graduate writers but they are no where near to his level of vision. Big Fan <3
U have got a beautiful voice and a beautiful way of reciting poems... Wat makes a poem more wanting to listen to it are the right amount of pauses and at the the right places that a reciter takes... I really liked this one and the other poems too ...keep up the good work... Looking forward to listen to more recitations...
