Srilanka eelam Tamils were not came from south india. They are the own people of eelam who have history before the king ravanan. sinhalese are came from north part of india. They are just 700 men and married 1000 tamil women of pandyas and mixed with eelam tamils are called them as sinhalese. Also, now the rulers of srilanka are also from south indias nayakas who came and rule kandyan kingdom. We can see the names of the political rulers nayaka,singha are the south indian telungus. They also mixed with sinhalse and called them as sinhala. Srilanka rulers always go to thirupathi temple of india. They have the ancestoral connection between telungus. But srilankan sinhalalese not even relaize this.

This is nonsense! The original name of the island was Sinhala. You can see that from ancient Indian Texts, including Mahabharata, Original Valmiki’s Ramayana ( I say this because Valmiki’s Ramayana was changed by Tamil poets to suit the mindset of Tamils) and even written about by a Tamil Buddhist monk in Pali . The 3 tribes in Lanka, also known as Thun Sinhalaya were the ancestors of the Sinhalese. However, in recent times, we have seen ‘history’ being invented, the motives of which we can only guess!
Tell me also, whether you can understand Elu, the language spoken by early Sinhalese, in which a massive amount of inscriptions have been found. The Tamils came here with the Cholas. Then there were mercenaries who were brought to fight for Sinhalese kings, and they, and their families were well taken care of. There may have been interactions between locals and Tamil traders from India in an earlier period but the major influx happened with the Cholas. Please do not create ‘history’
The nayakkars were Malayalis, who were invited to kingship because the there were no male heirs to the Sinhalese throne, on the understanding that they would protect and nurture Buddhism. Tamils in SL are certainly NOT the oldest Tamil population. They were not even called Tamil until 1911. Before that they were called Malabar people in Sri Lanka. That is mentioned in colonial records as well. Malabar people were settled by Europeans by bringing them from the Malabar coast. Hence the name. In 17th century, by the time Portuguese first occupied Jaffna, it was a sparsely inhabited place. And the Portuguese referred to the Jaffna inhabitants by the name Sinhala. Also the Jaffna Portuguese agreement was written in Sinhala language. Tamil ethnicity was created by orientalism and Dravidian movement in TN with an imaginary history. It is the root cause of the problems in Sri Lanka. Even the name Eelam means Sinhala.
