During my school days, ( ie 1950/1960s ) one of my hobbies was collecting stamps, picture post cards, magazines, books, news paper, cuttings etc. When I was young ( ie 1980/1990s ) I used to record my favorite SLBC musical programmes for my personal listening. And also collected music audio cassettes, music records. Now I am a retired person. I was wandering what to do with my archived items. My son told me RU-vid is a best way to preserve those. He helped me to open a RU-vid account, and provided me the necessary devices for using it. So now I have a good way to look back at my past memories. I thank with gratitude all institutions, Artists, Ladies and Gentlemen,( involved with my past memories) Thank you my son and daughter.
Radio Ceylon, a wonderful achievement within the limited state budget. Our respect to the teams.

Thank you for making available of this great musical creations on RU-vid.Most disciplined and sophisticated voice of Pandith Amradeva with piano in the background addressed our aesthetic senses deeply. Ananda Samrakoon ,our one of the most talented artists and his creations are remind in our mind for ever.
Thank you for arranging the MADUWANTHI in the public domain.I remember vividly that I was awaiting for this programme to be aired by the Radio Ceylon.Though I had no formal training on music and still being a teenage boy, enjoyed and appreciated this simple but highly sophisticated musical retham.I think our simple and happy lifestyle reflect in these music. Thank you once again and looking forward to rest of this programme.
