The 33nd Annual Woods Hole Film Festival takes place from Saturday, July 27 through Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024 in Woods Hole, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. The Woods Hole Film Festival is an annual presenting the best in emerging independent film selected from submissions from around the world. This year we will once again host a hybrid festival, with in-person screenings from Saturday, July 27 through Saturday, August 3, and virtual screenings from Sunday, August 4 through Sunday, August 11. The Festival screens over 100 films, hosts workshops, panel discussions and live Q&A's and more. I can't wait to see this film. And I can't believe they're bringing it to my city of Gardner, MA 4/14/2024 along with the question and answer part. As a central Massachusetts city we've been pretty invisible although we have a claim to fame as "The Chair City" with our big GIANT chair on Elm Street. We're the furniture capital of New England, or at least we used to be. But THIS? I'm an INDIE JUNKIE for decades. This is a BIG DEAL to ME to see these people come to Gardner. 3 more days to wait ... I'm like a kid in a candy store, lol!
2023's 'All Men are Wicked' is an absolute triumph in the world of Western cinema. This gritty tale of three outlaws falsely accused of stagecoach robbery grabs your attention from the very first frame and doesn't let go until the credits roll.
I was glued to the television when this episode of Doc was aired-waited a long time to see this! And my icing on the cake was seeing eight of my photos in the San Miguel Five section. How cool is that?!? What an honor! Doc’s the absolute best! In fact, just today I learned that the grandson of a good friend of mine just started playing trumpet in the 7th grade. Of course, I quickly directed my friend to Doc (as if she didn’t know) so he could disciple under the greatest trumpet player of all time. Thank you for putting this on!!
I was just told of this documentary on March 2021. From watching the Trailer, the film tries to project a sense of hope for the future of Youngstown. The reality is that Youngstown became a crap hole after the mass exodus of decent folks along with the continuous abandonment and lack of vision from the local government and its agencies. I myself came to Youngstown in 2015 and I got flashbacks of my youth growing up in NYC in the 1970's seeing the devastation. I made the decision to purchase a property at a real great price in the Historic District North Side where the rich once lived. However, my dream and my illusion of participating in the "Renaissance" of Youngstown came to an end in November 2017 when a neighborhood low life set my house on fire with me, my wife and our pets inside it. We were left homeless and destitute. NO ONE in Youngstown, from the Mayor's Office, Local and State Agencies or even the Charitable and Not for Profit Organizations INCLUDING YNDC (Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation) ever came to aid or assist us in rebuilding my home. On the contrary, the city continues to fight me in wanting to bulldoze my home so to grab the property. So my point is Youngstown became a crap hole and will remain a crap hole for years to come. I would never ever recommend anyone to invest here. And I invite anyone to meet with me to hear my story and document the fight of my life in just trying to save my home. Very interesting and tactic to take, which is more balance and interesting to people in order to latch on to the understanding of great thinkers and their breakthroughs. Not coming to the topic strictly on interest of the topic but other problems or controversy areas, that nevertheless sustains interest throughout and learn something about the great scientific figures and breakthroughs.
