I mean I’ve been watching your videos off and on for years. I hate to be the form police but hopefully no one tries to mimic what you’re doing. Someone could get hurt. Drop the weight for safety and for a better workout.
I read the Dao De Qing (道德经) purported I believe to be written by 老子. I am non-Chinese who became fascinated with Chinese Culture due to the influence of the one and only Mr Bruce Lee (李小龙). Please check out the teaching of our lord Jesus Christ. I believe he was indeed who he claims to be: God the creator living amongst his creatures.
I love your channel should have been more attuned to your post but life carries you along. This is a very important topic. To be authentic with oneself in life is a key. There is not one size fits all. For me Kung Fu has been since age 13. Even when I went to the military and stopped going to the studio I still trained on my own. There is a line from the movie fearless in the scene the jet li seats with the Japanese fighter and they discuss which tea is the best Japanese Chinese and Hu Yunjia ( jet li), answers it's not the tea or style it's the skill level of the warrior. To get to that skill level One must first be honest with oneself and find the art that inspires him the second is total dedication and hard work. Great great podcast
Beautifully said should be spoken more in the martial art world. I've been doing martial arts since age 13 around 40 years I must say the first reason why I left dojo is poor curriculum that does not generate proper training and understanding to longevity and well-being portion of Kung Fu.
Switch to 25lbs and let the weight go all the way down so you get full range of motion. The lighter weight will allow you to keep proper form and focus the workout on your biceps instead of recruiting the muscles in your shoulders to help you out the way you're doing it now. You'll get a much better bicep workout, and it'll be much easier on your tendons. Cheers friend, best of luck on your fitness journey!
