As far as I'm concerned you're a horse in a china shop. You have enough power to make up for the lack of finesse, sync and precision with brute force... but I can hear and feel it. Michael Angelo has extreme precision left right synchronization and it comes across as more balanced. I could have appreciated you in your very own right, but when you start denouncing others who have made it big, to put them down in order to get yourself up, then I like to weigh in and adjust the perception you portrait.
The human Chemistry of life dictates that not everyone resonates with everyone.. There are those in the comments section, whom for them his message doesn't take, and they have become negative.. But.. I am curious, if it is because his message is valueless.. Or.. If he has revealed some uncomfortable truths about playing.. That the critics on here don't want to deal with, so they criticise him away ?..
Before watchin the whole video: I think its a huge deal and something people should really aknowledge more (I feel): that its okay not to be able to do every guitar-thingy imagineable, specially in todays "climate" where we have so good access to information for learning, that it can sometimes feel like we have to know everything and be a virtuoso with any technique.. just my two cents.
8:15 I thought in an older video that you said you shouldn't angle the pick since it makes the tone "thinner"? Maybe I'm mixing you up with someone else, but I coulda swore it was you?? Whoever it was that said it, I ignored it regardless lol- I'm way less concerned with whatever miniscule tonal difference there might be vs getting to a faster speed/the deceased tension from angling the pick.
Theory without practical is useless..like wise u talk too much n u dnt show practical to overcome that flying hands..it's like sitting in da class n listening to a topic but no idea at all n dint understand😅😅😅
Look, as a baby guitarist this was helpful in a lot of ways. These comments are punching down for no reason. If you don't like it, find a new video and move on.
I needed some new picks so I found an old credit card and traced one of my old ones and cut them out with scissors They are a little bigger but they work great. Even used an old driver license and it had my picture so I cut it out. My own personal pick. lol 😆
Dear sir, can you recommend an Ibanez guitar for a well accomplished intermediate guitar player of 30 years. I have played stratocasters all my life. What would be a good Ibanez guitar model for someone working on speed picking? Thank you. 👍👍
Sometimes the shredding isn't actually fast, but sounds fast because within a song the whole band might be playing that run...could be a matching drum roll and the bass guitar would perhaps mimic that percussive roll therefore accenting the run on guitar making it sound faster than it actually is. There are many ways to get results using illusions in life, could be sound, visual, etc. Knowing is everything. Cool stuff dude. Before youtube, and a huge easily accessible internet database, I was learning guitar by ear with no idea what I was doing. I once thought that I was practicing alternate picking because my fret hand was slow. If I had the stuff we have available today as a beginner guitar player I would have had a completely different experience and I wouldn't have had to struggle with cheap bad sounding amps either. I'm still trying to fix some of my bad habits I formed when I was young. One thing I can say though, practicing with a solid rhythm track that is simple, continuous and adjustable is really essential. Metronomes are great, but I find them un-inspirational because they are just clicks. There is a rhythm but it's monotone and boring. A drum loop can give you much more inspiration. That has helped me a lot. Practicing with a back beat or metronome is how you achieve speed and coordination.
