mine basically looks like yours but chrome. i have alternating warnings for trailer brake system, tpms, and oil change. it goes between those but never tells me odometer. i do not have the buttons to the right of the gauge cluster. any ideas?

Everyone who is asking what pushing the button does, the answer is nothing. Except, the purpose is to prevent the knob from getting accidentally moved or bumped from the setting you picked. That's all!

You're an idiot Its actually range selection not to be confused with tiptronic. You are not selecting actual gears but rather, ranges of gears. If you manual select "3", your car will shift from 1-3 normaly but only up to 3rd and not higher. Really the main use, in my opinion, is for hill decent with engine braking in mind.
