I get not using misspelled words. but I am finding in keyword search volume of 300 to 500 competition is 80 to 300 and the score is about 1000 to 4000. So wouldn't it be okay to use these missed spelled words?
@@theunconciousmind7314 that’s one way to approach it 😊 or we could use this opportunity to better ourselves and be grateful that they are kicking people off who aren’t following the rules
@@NeriRozen there’s no documented right or wrong way to add listings, Etsy just wants to see you active in their platform so do what feels right for you and your biz 🐝
Thank you all SO much for the energy and love in the chat today and comment section! ❤ Thank you to Leslie and Everbee for having me on, this was one of my favorite chats I've had live and I can't wait to be on again in October. Thanks everyone to watching and hope everyone has a great rest of your weeks! 💕
This was amazing! I started my shop in Jan of this year, it took months to get my first organic sale. Still slowly getting some here and there, but loving the journey. You two have helped me so much. Don't worry Leslie I say it as Niche too 😂 you're not alone.
QUESTION - I purchased cotton fabric with Disney princesses, superman, and Minnie Mouse, Sponge Bob FROM THE FABRIC STORE, like Joann's Fabric, can I use it to make scrunchies, bags, and headbands to sell on Etsy?
No, that would be copyright infringement. Printed on the fabric selvedge is something like "personal use only" or "commercial use prohibited". You can sell the unaltered fabric under the first sale doctrine
This video is from 8 months ago and unfortunately Etsy made changes to their requirements in Feb of this year. Feel free to check out our updated email marketing videos within the Email playlist on our channel!
What if you dont have any subscribers yet? Can you link me to a video on how to utilize customers that have already purchased from me send them an email?
I though we were no longer allowed to put external links in the announcement , description and listing photos now that Etsy has added a space for website URL at the bottom of the About page. Have you heard this ?
@@helloeverbee no I have not. Some time ago I did read where we were allowed to use those places as long as we didn’t sell the exact same design/product (thus avoiding Etsy fees) on that url. However I can no longer find that information in the handbook. It was in a section about how Etsy can help you grow your brand but I just don’t see that anymore. And there are other RU-vidrs now saying that the About section link is the only place to put URL.
This is a 2009/2010 thread but the only one I can find. I guess my defense would be that in the absence of more specific information and the fact I am not engaging in fee avoidance, there should be no issue. That is if you could actually talk to a real person.
I started my shop right after Etsy requires customers to Opt-In to receive emails from sellers. I have 280 sales and only 8 people opted in. How is this supposed to help sellers with creating their email list when everyone is so bomb bared with emails which they probably never read or don’t want to Opted in for yet another email list. The email list strategy is only good for older shops that been around for years. It’s not fair to newer shops. If Etsy required the older shops to delete their email list and start over they will be in the same boat. But no they are allowed to keep their lists.
@@smichalskidesigns you are very much allowed to create an email list still it’s just evolved a little bit 😊 I recommend checking out our live stream from August 29 with Scott from Brand Creators where we spent over an hour teaching you how!
Hi there! Thanks for your videos. I built a landing page and other emails. Everything was great until I realized that when a person lands on the landing page to sign up, there is the EverBee chatbot that is also available on the page. This is really not good as a person who wants to sign up for my newsletter is being presented with a chatbot that has nothing to do with my store that offers all king of EverBee marketing. This is totally unprofessional. I contacted EverBee support and I was told that this is the way the product works! Big bummer!
Great video, I have a quick question..If I am opening a brand new POD apparel store on Etsy this month, should i focus on only 1 niche and 1 product type (t-shirts) OR Should I focus on multiple niche (10+) and multiple product types within the same category (like sweatshirts, hoodies, tank tops, t-shirts, hats)?
@@Om-gg5tk that is completely up to you and your desired business model! Both options work really well for different types of people. But from my experience, growing and scaling, a general store is a lot harder than growing and scaling something that is related to one particular person. Because it’s really hard to make targeted emails, targeted ads, targeted, social media, content, etc., to speak to a bunch of different audiences. So again, it really just depends on where you see your brand going in the long run.
About Audio. Is it possible to make the audio of your INTRO video (for new videos) at the beginning not so loud? It always freaks me out and I have to decrease the volume and then increase the volume again when the video starts. The beginning voice is good then the VERY loud intro and then the normal sound again.
So it is not possible to send an email with a digital product attached if someone purchases the product? I'm so tired of people not being able to download digital items on Etsy. I just want to send the pdf file after purchase so I don't have to explain every day how to open Etsy not in the Etsy app to be able to download the file. It is not possible to download digital products in the Etsy app and most of the sales are from the Etsy app. Now Etsy pushes everyone to install the app and it will be an even bigger problem.
@@helloeverbee I know that. I have been selling for 10 years on Etsy. People do not know where to download. Etsy made it very complicated. So sellers of digital downloads have been dealing with this problem for years but Etsy does not make it easier for buyers to find the downloads if they use the mobile Etsy app. Buyers are constantly sending private messages asking for the file to be sent by email because they can't find where to download it on the Etsy app.
Please do a variation video. Mostly all of them are 2-3 years old. I am looking to add t-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts in the same listing. Can't figure it out for the life of me. Also, some of my listings don't have a quantity option. Can't find where to add a quantity option for customers.
Loving the content in this video! While we are on the subject, for anyone wanting to scale with cold emails, Mystrika is pay-once-use-forever deal is a steal. I have been using it for about 7 months, and the unified inbox feature has simplified managing multiple campaigns. Also, the Free Cold Email Accelerator Masterclass guide was incredibly useful. Plans start at $19/month, which is great value. Definitely check it out if you want to optimize your email outreach!
I have been following along with the video and wanted to share that cold emailing has been really effective for my Etsy shop. Filter Bounce is an awesome tool for maintaining a low bounce rate. I have been using it for 4 months now, and the real-time verification API is spot on, even for tricky domains like Yahoo and AOL. It is super affordable, starting at just $10/month. Give it a try if you want to keep your email list clean and effective.
The tips in this video are fantastic for Etsy sellers! For anyone looking to ramp up their email game, you might consider Mystrika. I have been using it for 6 months, and the detailed analytics have seriously sharpened my strategies. The interface is super intuitive, making the whole experience smoother. And, the high-quality email warmup in multiple languages is top-notch. They also have a huge Facebook community for support. If you are serious about email marketing, you should give Mystrika a shot!
