Had mine a week now, when I tried the demonstrator 4 weeks ago, I noticed a lack of power in sport mode. I have watched several U-tube videos since and they all confirmed that the power was adequate but not outstanding. As I liked the overall look of the car I decided to order one. Now, I've had it a week and unless I've been very lucky this thing is quick. First time in power mode it torque steered to the right taking me completely by surprise. Hmm I thought must be dreaming but no, its as quick as the Volks Id.4. I would thoroughly recommend one. I have the GT model with heat pump and 360 pack
I was back and forth between this and the Renault Scenic E-Tech. In the end I went for the Renault it’s much better car all round and after seeing dozens of reviews (neutral ones) I think the experts agree. Oh and btw I currently have a Peugeot 3008 GT so jumping ship wasn’t just an overnight decision
um yeah it does,I own a BMW 540i though but still it does. Can your car go 700km on a single charge? well my beemer can and it actually gets more from a tank of gas. When it is below 0 how far can your car go? my distance to drive doesn't change. How good is mining all that lithium for the environment as well? I don't use lithium so.... What happens to your battery when its dead and how many batteries you think we can recycle without killing the environment? I wonder how many miles you get out of a battery as well? how long to charge? How do you charge it when the electric grid can barely service what is out there right now? bottom line is electric sucks and we are not even taking into consideration how much your promised performance actually loses when not used in perfect conditions. keep your chinese garbage
Hi, we know that electric cars aren't everyone's cup of tea, and everyone's entitled to their opinion! These videos are simply a short way to show all the things the new BYD vehicles can do! It can do 300-400 miles depending on where/how you drive and can charge from 30-80% in just 26 minutes. The lithium batteries may be 'bad' for the environment during their creation, however as they don't produce fumes whilst driving like a normal petrol/diesel engine, it works out better for the environment. I love how the manufacturers have got their employees peddling these EVs. If they were any good they’d sell themselves but here they are in their little body warmers trying to off load unwanted stock. Hoping the public that are mostly thick at financial maths will come and get one. Good luck mate
Lots of companies recycle old EV batteries, whether its' repurposing them or physically breaking it down and reusing parts, no different than a standard engine really!
Modern EV's haven't really been around long enough for us to answer that question, but with the improvements we see every day in technology, we're sure there will be an answer to this soon enough!
This isn't something we'd recommend doing yourself as it could be unsafe, however there are companies that take the batteries and repurpose them into the things mentioned in the video!
Hi so the wear on the battery depends largely on the usage so there is too many contributing factors for us to give you a definitive answer on this. @@SwanswayMotorGroup One of the things I noticed in my girlfriend‘s car (which has a heat pump) is that it has a variable system instead of just on or off with varying blower fan speeds. If you set it to 70°F the air coming out of the vents is going to be around 69°F or 70° F, and it will change depending on the air return temperature. Just adding this one feature with the variable compressor speed seems like it actually saves a huge amount of energy. You don’t need to be cranking the compressor at full power when you just want the car to stay equalized and not heat up from the sun. It’s very awesome to have the fan at full tilt blowing air which is the temperature that you want. Another huge bonus is that in the wintertime etc it actually dehumidifies the air in the car, taking away the source of the condensation on the windows. Having heated seats in the wintertime combined with the heat pump is also a huge bonus because it’s far more efficient to heat the person rather than trying to heat a large volume of air but you can still do whatever works best for you.
