As a seasoned Emergency Room nurse and yoga teacher with decades of experience in both fields, I am passionate about guiding people in the second stage of life to reach their health goals and feel their best, both mentally and physically.
I teach yoga and home fitness workouts online and in my hometown. With a certification in chair yoga and over 3 years of teaching experience, I have witnessed significant improvements in my students' balance, strength, and flexibility. I started my channel to help others feel better through mindful movement and health education.

Great walk and lovely location! I followed along with this after doing one of your 20 minute walks. These shorts ones would be great for people working from home, to get up from their desk chair once and a while and exercise for 5 minutes. Btw, I lost over 3 lbs this week!

Thank you Allie ❤️ 5 years ago I was in a wheelchair after falling down a flight of stairs. I broke my back in three places and completely shattered my right hip. (Plus broke my arm in a few places) Eight fractures total. I made that video for the final in my yoga teacher training. It’s a pretty bad video, but I keep it on here so I can remember how far I’ve come. I look at that sad, scared, broken version of myself and love her so much. I was also hopeful and determined to heal myself through my yoga practice and self care. And that’s exactly what I did. ❤️ I have many other (better) chair yoga practices on my channel. If that’s what your sister needs, I suggest she look there. ❤️ Thanks for reaching out again and allowing me to share my story. I hope to inspire others to reach for the goals that scare them the most. Those are the sweetest when achieved. ❤️
@@EmilyDaughertyYoga Oh wow, that was a terrible accident! Yes, the one I sent to my sister was a five minute chair exercise, before I knew about the wheelchair video. I felt "five minutes won't scare her". But I also would like it if she heard your story.
My new favourite video / workout! The only weights I have are 3 lbs, which turned out to be just right. I planned to follow up with a 10 minute one, but was a bit tired by the end! One question: when you do the Star, does your foot touch the ground, or hover? On full screen, I couldn't see that. Thank you!
Great to hear from you again! So glad you liked this workout! Great question: in star pose you can hover your foot to increase the challenge or tap the toe for added stability. Play around with both and see which works best for you!! I love using weights in these walking workouts. Great job today and keep kicking butt!!!! 🍑👊

Hi Stacey! Yes! I love this question! I agree with you, we need to incorporate strength training in our weekly routines! Great workout and lovely surroundings. When young, I ran like a deer, and was slim. Never thought I'd have a problem with fitness. Decades later, after kids, office jobs, injury and too sedentary a life, I have over 60 lbs to lose and I'm shocked by how weak my arms felt during the workout. I'm going to do two of your short videos per day this week, then move up to longer videos. Thank you!

I just discovered your channel, did this walk with you, and subscribed. I love your attitude! Also, a quick look at your channel showed me you have a lot of outdoor exercise, and I'm so glad to see that. Over the past few years, I realized that the only online exercise I could stick with were people who shot outdoors. I already feel so cooped up, myself, that its not as much fun following along with someone in a room. Not that I expect you to slip around on a wet surface with an umbrella in your hand, or anything! 😊
