Hello, everyone. Welcome to Over Crochet Cannel. I am Luba. I live in Toronto, Canada. I am a member of the OIDFA International Lace Association and a participant in Olga Starostina's international school of Irish lace lovers since 2019. I am a member of Crochet Guild of America (CGOA), and I am a member of Crochet Guild of Australia (CGA) since 2021. I have been crocheting since I was nine years old, binding flowers for my mother’s birthday. Since then, crocheting has been one way I create gifts with my own hands. As soon as Irish lace appeared about 11 years ago, it immediately caught my attention. I was fascinated by the fine thread and intricate detailing and patterns. In 2018 I started creating more detailed flower designs and perform them into my creation. Over the years, my love for crocheting blossomed into designing collars, scarves, gloves, sweaters, and even designer dresses. Stay with me and learn different stitches and techniques in crochet from the very beginning.
So why are mine all crinkled up like they have to many pettles? They are foulding betwee each courner, altering the shape. What can I do to fix it? I'm using #2 weight yarn, abd I sized up a half hook size, 3.5.... any advice? My daughter wants me to make a tank top for her using these squares.
When crocheting these videos please be aware you have people with bad eye sight trying to watch and when you use small hooks and string we can NOT SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING. It would be great too if you could post written instructions at top of screen for each row. You do great patterns but we can NIT SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING.
I had trouble visualizing your stitches because you used very tiny thread and needle. Next time you might consider using a thicker material as your sample.
