I think sub defense is optional unless you’re running squid ninja. The amount of time subtracted from being tracked by certain subs can really add up over time and have a noticeable difference. You’re also more likely to receive chip damage with ninja unless you compensate with an absurd amount of swim speed. Otherwise, generally tracking isn’t too much of a hinderance and most chip damage from bombs can be avoided if you have just a moderate amount of swim speed or a lightweight weapon.
i am a e-liter main. you did quite well! a tip is to always ink the area you are using to perch up on, many people sneak around e-liters and get them from behind. with the mine and turf with it, you will be fine
My first weapon I picked up was the Reeflux My child, even though the Enperry Dualies were my first 5 star. Frankly I am just an inker and will get kills when necessary
I suck at chargers, but charger gameplay is so fun to watch. They're one of the few weapons I actually go out of my way to search up gameplay footage of. They can see everything happening on the map at all times, so even the sneakiest slayer weapons look so obvious it's silly.
Ninja the goat for close range weapons if u run at least a couple swim speed, Last Ditch for splat zones, and prolly sub resistance so u don't get insta killed as much
What a saintly attitude you have. I could never imagine complimenting my enemies, though I dont get tilted from any of what you said. The one and only thing that makes me tilt and immediately ruins my mood and willingness to play is the defeat screen and being forced to watch the enemy team rub their win in my face, as well as the music that implies a win while the reality being a loss. I find my inkfish objectively better, cuter and aesthetically pleasing to see in this game. My inkling is a source of comfort for me and I care more about my inkling than I do someone elses ink/octoling, so I wildly despise the fact that I'm forced to grovel over the team that beat mine, and watching them emote on me in celebration. Honestly my hatred of this feature and music has turned me away from Splatoon 3 almost entirely to a point where I only play for my daily win and then go play Splatoon 2.
Before you explain it, I think that last-ditch effort, quick respawn, and quick super jump are the abilities needed on all weapons. Especially if you are playing a game mode like splat zones. These abilities give the best benefits without repercussions and are useful to all weapons and roles.
Chiming in here a year later since I recently got a pure Special up shirt. I will say running things like Wavebreaker and Cooler like most people say is really useful, especially when me and my team have to face double zooka metas in tournaments. Wavebreaker is just good for TC with Blaster
Like you said, it's been a year. Video is outdated. A LOT of patches happened, crab is nowhere near as OP as it was, trizooka is meta. Tacticooler used to be pretty much useless.
QSJ, SSU, IR & SD are non gear-exclusive abilities that each weapon not only can benefit from but actually needs more of. (Gear exclusive abilities like Ninja Squid or Stealth Jump basically the kind you can’t roll naturally)
1:21 Hahaha, i love how qr meant that the first build some people may think its a “meme” build. And now we have almost full QR builds for things like tetra
When I first started playing the Reef Lux 450, II thought I was doing it wrong. I was agggressive. In the beginning of the game, I would pint the base, then I would move to mid ground and, whenever there was a opening, I would slide into enemy base so a downed teammate could hop on over. I am still learning about the game and i like the idea of forcing them to farm their specials in the middle of the state rather than at home. Thanks for the video.
I wouldn't run a single one of those items in any of my builds. First of all this question can't be answered out of context. It really depends on your weapon the game mode and your play style. The thing I find most interesting is how different loadouts impact in game decisions. For example quick respawn is either a hedge or punishes you for splatting opponents. Quick respawn and respawn punisher are pretty much at opposite ends of the spectrum. If you have a really lopsided kills to deaths ratio, one of those two is going to make a lot of sense for you. Personally, in Splatoon 2 I was all about swim speed up and special charge up. Now it's mostly ink saver main and ink recovery. Context wise, I'm usually inking 1200+ in turf war and average about 6:1 killls to deaths per game. So not running out of ink is super important to me
As someone who is newer to the franchise and currently best sports a B+ rank....new challenge for myself to try and improve my map awareness >_> time to enter the gauntlet
Great video - having a nice Saturday playing S3 and enjoying all that comes with relaxing... Your video just added something special to my fun day and I hope you enjoy the appreciation 👌👍🙌
Good job. Still, I do not understand this. Gear stacking (Example: Speed chunks in all 4 slots) is not good (for the most part). Well, why? Diminishing returns? Please explain that in detail. Like, are you saying that after only 1 or maybe 2 slots that it doesn't matter if you put a 3rd speed chunk, you won't swim any faster? I have 4 speeds (including the main obviously) on my hat and 4 on my shoes and I swim super fast. I need you to explain the diminishing return on that. I swim circles around other players and destroy them. What I lack in other abilities is made up in speed. If you are saying that because I have no upgrades on, say for instance, Ink Saver (Main) or (Sub), and that will use my ink much much faster, then I agree. But who will see me reloading in secret as I swim unnoticed by anyone? I ALWAYS use the ninja squid main on my clothes. Also, all the guides I see say to match a particular brand of gear to a particular drink in order to farm for a specific ability chunk which is contrary to what you're stating in this vid. I wish there was a definitive guide so all of us could be on the same page. Again, nice vid, it's just that I'm now confused is all.
Diminishing returns as in, the more of the same ability you stack, the less effective each sub of the same ability you add is. It's a falloff in effectiveness the more you add on. Example : 1 main of Swim Speed is very noticeable compared to nothing, but the more you add after that, the less you'll notice the swim speed difference. Use this site to understand the effects of gear abilities : sendou.ink/analyzer As for the brand/ability drink thing, the effects indeed do not stack. You can use both if you want, your odds won't be better. Drinks do give 50% Gear XP Bonus, so they are still worth it for that alone.
Gold my man. Gold. And thanks for getting back with me and fast. (🙂 Thumbs up AND subscribed. Make money homie!) I wonder why this info is not in game. We have game mode explanations but we don't have gear 'stacking' explanations. Or do we?
B-RO! I changed my gear up and added more special charge, less speed. I’m kill’n it! Thanks man. I get to special so much faster and I’m still seemingly just as fast as I was whit speed on all gear.
okay so my guesses are quick respawn, (maybe ninja squid and quick swim speed) ink tank thing i forgot and quick super jump- im not gonna comment this till i find out (this is just my preffered build lol) ok i got one corect
Silly question, how did you record the in game sounds but not the music? There’s no option to turn the in game music down so I’m baffled/amazed lol. Very nice jazz by the way :)
The music is recorded too, it's just so low you don't hear it. I have a sidechain setup so that when I talk the game audio is lowered, so chances are you're not gonna hear much of the game audio.
