If the motors are not cleaned properly they will need replacing at $200 for the set. I do recommend taking the motors completely apart if you go in saltwater. Not so easy, but if not ... $200! You cannot rinse off the inside of those motors. Great video, friend!

Girlfriend has one of these. Two uses out in the ocean, cleaned properly/rinsed off with fresh water after each use. One month later, all motors are seized and rusted. Managed to get 3 of them working, but the front left and right are a complete frozen right off. Replacements are currently $60 each+ and Chasing the company who makes them keep changing their support email address. Rubbish product it seems, especially for the cost.
i opend mine up and it is not a burnt wire. can i send mine to a place you reccomend to mail to for repair ? have not found a straight answer to fix this module. thanks.

Hi there I would not recommend you to buy any Mavmount products. They take your money, then they don't ship your product. I ordered a mount on 29 August 2022. You can only try to contact them thru there website email, but they don't respond to that at all. So be warned they steal your money
How the hell does this device deal with water pressure? I've taken mine down to 200ft once still ok but you know what is an safe depth befor it will explode? i know t's rated for 200+ft but can it handle 500ft? As i visit the coast a lot and go out about 200 miles Doesn't look sturdy enough i thought it would be sealed good but you easily took it apart with a screwdriver lol
The aluminium "Cabin" (the black cylinder in the video) is incredibly solid and contains all the works and battery with only the brushless motors outside. The only limit really is the length of the tether, which is 100 metres (330 feet). I suspect it could easily dive to 1,000 feet without any drama if the tether was long enough. The plastic is only to streamline the ROV and, as it allows the water in, it doesn't need to resist any pressure.
@@Knapweed Ahh ok that's fantastic to hear! do they sell extended tethers? I would also worry about signal strength/distance... i plan to send mine down around 450ft off the coast of england, few ship wrecks there I wish this thing had arms.. would like to grab stuff and bring it back to the surface.
