I am always interested how people manage to fund these trips with such expensive vehicles and no apparent source of income from jobs. Please enlighten me as I shall try the same.
I'm building a truck like this, plan to travel for 10+ years with it. No special source of funds, worked for 25+ years, saved/invested and kept it as a goal
Depends of your country of origin, your job and multiple other factors. Here in Poland brand new Mercedes Atego is less than 100 thousand euros with all taxes. Some of them you can deduct if run some kind of business. VAT alone is 23%. Building a camper on top of your car would be 100-200 thousand euros with all taxes. Now - let’s assume 250 thousand all together. That means you would have to save 25kE per year for 10 years. Or, 10kE per 25 years. I am pretty sure for a person who was working its whole life it is not impossible. Sure - you cannot be at the bottom but if you are educated and have good job or run small business - it is doable. I work in IT for the last 20 years and my wife is a teacher. We could get it we would like such thing and live off of savings and my remote job. So yes, depends on many things. Most important - how much you want it?

Dankeschön! Hat lange gedauert bis wir die richtige Farbe für uns gefunden haben, aber wir sind nach über 4Jahren immer noch sehr zufrieden damit. Nicht weiter eingesunken 😅 ja echt! Anfangs gings noch einwenig runter, aber dann stand der LKW zum Glück auf festem Grund und wir konnten loslegen mit der Bergung.
Infortunately,nothing special Maybe new,or no new engine with hybride system Nothing about gearbox.Maybe is old once slow moving gears.After couple of years working,if start engine and moving slowly if push the pedal,a litle bit.Truck start jumping,is not a clutch.Just Mercedeces Jumping.Maybe new model with hybride will not jumping,because starting and moving electricaly Made in Turkishlar everithing is fking same. Inside in the cabing,nothing 😮😅new.Old type of bed who is not bad,but this plastic shelvs at top aon the head and leg is noy ergonomicaly.Extra lapms and lights,same like a MAN is not good.Same big shelvs is not bad.Same displays,same software,same functions,same steering weel,same fridge and compartment is not bad. So is not bad,buy is not new exept,maybe engine,gearbox and hybride power,New Proudly Mercedes Actros L its a same Like Turkisch Ford,So Congratulation Arkadasch feom Turkey,about NewFord Truck model L I thing so.The New Ford Mercedes L truck,its made with Turkisch Delaits imside in the Fridge....🎉😂😂😂😮
