My partner used to teach Irish dancing, and since meeting her I’ve had a whole world of art and athletics and skill open up to me. It’s a beautiful and powerful dance. I like the traditions, too.

The person who shot the video should have zoomed in for close ups of her amazing dancing and should not have started until she stated dancing. There is to too much dead time at the beginning to keep an audience watching for many.

Great performance, of course, but I don't remember such dancers having contrasting colors for their undergarments. Wonder if it's a trend to sexualize the dance? Hate to be guilty of over-thinking it.
it's not undergarments. they're small shorts that go underneath and match the lining of the skirt. the underside of the skirt is always a different colour and it's been that way for at least 40 years
I've noticed that at a lot of majors the dancers look down while the numbers are being called. Why do they do that? Are they praying? Reading their number?
