I believe the question was regarding wiring in the wall / siding. When screws are used to mount the device, any concern of electrical shock due to coming into contact with wiring in the wall / siding?
@rudycalderon6560 I actually went ahead and screwed it in. :) there was no problem or issue with doing so. However, I should probably mention that I didn't use the screws that came with it. Because I was scared, I decided to use shorter screws. The ones I used were only about 2cm or 3cm shorter, so it wasn't exactly THAT much of a difference, buuuut...my mind was at ease in screwing it in. And, it's been about 2 weeks now. No problems. Very durable during storms, too.
@@LottieDottieDah Sounds good. As long as it’s secure, everything should be fine. The longer screws are meant to assure it stays in place, it may not take as much effort for it to be removed with shorter screws. You’re right though, hitting a wire is a concern if you’re not sure of the wiring there.

Great video. Quick question. I have vinyl siding and my doorbell will be mounted by a door that has a landing and 4 stairs. Ring suggests using a wedge when a doorbell is mounted above stairs. I live on a busy street and would like to avoid it going off constantly. Do you know if I can install the adapter for the siding and then mount the wedge on top of it? Is that counterproductive? Should I just mount it with the angle of the actual siding? Meaning top screws in the bottom of the siding slat which would make it angled naturally? I’d appreciate any thoughts. Thx.
