I used to strip screws like 4 years ago before I finally figured it out. My red base blue vest snowmiser however was put together quite sloppy. Not only were some screws already semi damaged, the head screws were literally screwed into the plastic instead of the pre-made holes. Some of the screws were crooked too. It also didn't help that they were rusty from the previous owner storing it.
I used to strip screws all the time. Pretty much any stripped screw that I’ve encountered has either come from factory or me when I was little trying to repair things 😭
A screw will literally not come stripped from the factory though. They will be tight yes, but they will never be stripped. If they’re stripped, it’s because you stripped them.
@@ChristopherS768 idk, I’ve only felt this way with a few cheap modern Sound N Light things. It could just be that the screws are so cheap that they strip no matter what tho.
@@ChristopherS768 sadly yes they do come stripped, ive seen it before in unopened new billy basses. I guess it happens when the screws are over tightended
That's very helpful, thanks. Sometimes, when I try and repair something, some of the screws are already stripped, and other times I may just might accidentally strip screws, but not very often don't worry. Other times though, the screw just won't come out even if it's not stripped, and that's when your tip can really come in handy. Thank you so much once again.
The screws will be tight a lot of the time and won’t come out, but they should never be stripped unless someone stripped it by trying to screw it out when the screw wasn’t turning
@@ChristopherS768 that's true, but usually if they're already stripped, probably it's because someone else did it but that's really unlikely, because a lot of the time the screws just won't come out and a bigger screwdriver would work to get them out, like you said.
Just do it with the biggest screwdriver you have that you can get to the screw with. And if you can’t get it out, don’t keep trying to turn it like usual. If it doesn’t work right away, it won’t miraculously start working and all it’s gonna do is strip the screw
