I tried to use various local glass shops near me. I couldn’t get into contact with most of them and the ones that I did they told me their shops had recently been purchased by Safelite. Sucks to hear.

Thank you Michael, your video helped me to open the hood pretty easy. But, before I saw your video, I thought that Push bar might be for the hood, so pushed a few times. Did I messed up something? What's the Push bar for?
Perfect. I just had my windshield replaced. They did a very good job but the drivers side pillar is not right. I’ll follow your directions. Thanks so much! Update! Very easy to do. It’s cool to have a good idea of what to expect. Thanks again,
Unfortunately I worked for them. They put ZERO emphasis on quality (except in meetings). Their glass is garbage, and the management sucks. 6 jobs a day including travel time to each job is an honest day's work. Not when I worked there. I would be given 7 to 8 jobs with 3 hours total travel time. I'm not the type tech to rush a job. I have to do it like I'd want my vehicle worked on. No ridiculous short cuts. I do not want to have to go back out for something that might take a few minutes extra, but assures myself there won't be any problems. Sure, things come up every once in a while, but if you do it right there shouldn't be any problems. And they answer the calls for insurance companies customer claims, but don't give the insured a choice of who they would like to do the work. They don't tell you that you have a choice, they just automatically give the job to safelite, which is illegal. They're supposed to ask everyone if they have a preferred glass shop. Basically, safelite has a monopoly. They are owned by a German company. I wouldn't recommend using them if you don't want a leaking windshield. I'm not joking.
6/3/22 Same thing is happening here right now - Rocklin. It was a clear blue sky this morning and then lots of these trails crisscrossing and spreading out. Now the whole sky is overcast. I took some pictures and then found your video. Looks the same. They're predicting rain for the weekend. Are they making and then seeding clouds for rain? Actually, I'm catching a scent of something like herbicide.
I had my windshield replaced about 3 months ago, I wonder if this is what they screwed up because mine is no longer working and it really sucks without it working
Thank you for your tip on how to disassemble. Y rear view mirror was loose and cause the mirror to have slack and move downward. After tightening the screw, this solved the problem! :)
Thanks for the video. If the syringe has a mL scale it would be great to know how many mL you recommend for that particular sensor in this video. It looks like the same part as my 2012 E70 BMW.
The right latch boke therefore I cant secure the sliding windows. All I need is the latch/lock replacement latch and the part number only goes to 2002. I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 and the replacement looks different. I searched and cannot find the 03 replacement kit. Will the 02 work? I don't see it adapting. Please advise................Thank you, Rocco Tironi Jr............rtironijr@yahoo.com

Hi Shirley, one place I always look at is eBay for parts like the Cover. ebay.to/37oKqXy The motor you can also find on eBay but try Amazon also. This is the part number if you look online at O'Reilly: Cardone Remanufactured A1 40-1067 www.oreillyauto.com/ and click on "GET THE PARTS THAT FIT" Look at Amazon - amzn.to/39AjJ4Z Hope this helps.
Thank you for this! The metal bracket which holds the rain sensor in place on my GX 460 broke off, and have been searching for the adhesive used to remount it.
If you don't have the puller tool, this is what I did: once I removed the nut holding the wiper arm on the spindle, I very gently twisted the wiper arm while pulling up on it. The spindle is designed to be fatter at the bottom so that when the nut is tightened down, the wiper arm compresses into the spindle, making it fit more snug so that it can stay on with the constant force of movement. Gently twisting it and pulling up popped it off the spindle - but I was careful not to ruin the small grooves on the spindle that help it securely compress. (Most likely I'll only be chaning the wiper motor once in the lifetime of the car, so I figured a little twisting shouldn't ruin anything, especially when the nut still compresses the arm onto the spindle.
