I just got my hands on a VR 09, and I found the Shuffle pattern to be pretty good to match that song. The Roc beat you used is just a hair to straight up for my taste.
this is great !!! I have one, but I'm more a guitarist. I want to add this to my performances now....any idea on how to create songs ?? I did get the usb memory.....im a bit ADD
Is that you on the bass? Nice job, you're killing it! I found your channel because I'm interested in the Roland VR-09. I see you play Hammond, and you also have a Nord. How does the VR-09 compare to those and how does it fit into your arsenal? I play piano and organ in a rock band. I have a Crumar Mojo 61 and I am interested in the VR-09 as a practice keyboard due to it's portability, drawbars, and the convenience of battery power. I have an inexpensive Casio cts1 that I currently use for practice, but I'm not really satisfied with the keybed for organ glissando, or the lack of controls for the organ.
That would be correct. The original version was played on a Hammond M2 Spinet played into a 45 single speed Leslie - ON display at the Stax Records Studio and museum.
Wow really cool how you can play the song and adjust your organ without missing a beat. Maybe you should try eating a sandwich while playing the song..how cool would that be!!!
Hey, another good vid/'tutorial' - keep 'em coming, I appreciate your efforts posting :) I have a question regarding (what looks like) a bluetooth transmitter coming out of the phono socket in your vr09. What brand have you gone with, and how reliable do you find it? I have a Bose soundlink II speaker which is pretty decent and would like to use it as a practice monitor, but don't want to waste money on a BT transmitter if they have annoying latency/delay or drop out randomly. I'm struggling to get much info on what might be a good purchase. Sorry to go off topic... your soul sauce was tasty!
Hi, nice demo. Do you know if you can use a foot switch to control the leslie speed at all? You could do this on the VK7 but not been able to find out about the VR09
