crashed and broke the kill switch in practice, needed to stall the bike with a clutch dump prior to start..clutch plates tightened making it difficult to start.

You know, when i have a day like yours, i found out that after your first time on the ground. Get your bike up and out of the way. Take a look at the bars and forks to see if they are tweeked. Catch your breath, if you have water, take a drink. Clean your goggles and take some deep breaths. May take 3 or 4 minutes, but you can kinda take stock of your bike, get a breath and usually have a better day. Anyway, for what that is worth. That's what i do to help me when days go like this.
