Gearbox can go screw themselves for saying this entry wasn't canon and that they lost the source code. Hopefully some game developer at some point in time finds this game and gives a well deserved remaster.
Need more salvage corvettes to match my run, that's the joy of O.G. Homeworld you had so many different tactics to try... Blast the enemy's fleet's out of space or *steal that shit* 😂
I cannot tell you how upset I am that you got the cockatrice drop just like that. I farmed for it at earliest opportunity in Rydia's chapter and she was level 55 by the time it finally dropped. I shelved the game shortly afterward out of mental exhaustion and am only just now resuming that playthrough--- 4 years & 11 months later. I came here to refresh my memory after so long and nearly the first thing that happens is I get almost fatally mocked. 😢
This game is great but 8:00 I always hated they kill off Aha’ri especially since she was my favorite character and I would have loved to see our relationship with her more since she was our sister
I remember playing this game for the first time, Not knowing what I was in for, I did not see trailers or any kind of promotion for this game, all I knew was that it was a sequel to Homeworld. After the mission of the first infection, I had nightmares, I did not play the game for weeks, Continued to get nightmares... Then I decided to toughen up and continue... Then that mission with refugees that were being infected and turned into infection missiles... Yikes! Had to stop again... Nightmares continue... I eventually finished the game, but after that, never played the game again... But to this day, this game will forever be burned into my memory and perhaps even my soul...
Taiidan had all the right to destroy Kushan, it was part of the deal if they break it, kushan broke it and they paid the consequences. Sadly the Empire lost and these caste system scum never understood the consequences they brought on themself. At least the native Hiigarans were able to get back to rule and do what the Riesstiu couldn't, and outlaw the kiits degenerates.
Cool memories, remembering this and the first homeworld, what it's intrigues me is how the devs (BBI/GBX) decides to screw up so monumentally in the making of Homeworld 3, graphics are ok but looks like than they neglected everything else, it's like the game has been dumbed down on purpose for get bad results, heck even the remastered collection are a better ratio positive/Negative on steam, ¿How and why choices to ruin the game so damn hard?
I looked at the Homeworld DoK fandom regarding the timestamp of -1110 KDS. That's the old Kharak dating system, but how does that compare to the time it takes the Mothership to travel to and claim Hiigaran space?
The color scheme of your fleet is great, I thought they were the default colors lol😂. Looking at another video on the homeworld series, the guy painted his ship red, compared to the blue with yellow lining, your is much better. 😊
The voice acting in this game sounds emaculate, the emotions hits just right 😊, is it me or does it sound different fromthe other games because the Kuun-Lan's crew wasn't military?
Thanks so much for this video dude. I'm playing NG+ after beating the base difficulty in 2019 or 2020 and I can barely remember the story. I noticed that in NG+ you can't replay some cutscenes and some of the dialogue snippets are missing, so this helps a lot.
1:39:42 "i dont believe it, they're repairing the drives!" love the show of how absurd the notion is that she's past being scared of the horrifying outcome and just astonished at the idiocy of them XD
1:43:23 the shakyness in his voice so clearly communicates just how unnerved the guy is being so close to the biomechanical zombie ship and how much he wants to anywhere else the VA's are exceptional
I still think how long it took the Kushan to rebuild their populace with how many were lost in the third mission with each cryo sleep barge holding how much of their populace?
This was the best HW game. While it doesn't have the epic journey of the original, it built upon the world nicely and had a great narrative. The more modern Homeworld games just feel so far removed and disconnected from it's origins story wise. All they have is a strange fixation on the S'jet lineage when there are so many more stories and perspectives that could have been told.
This is what i expected from Homeworld 3. The awe and the awesome story telling. And what did we get? A boring cookie-cutter story that was just awful. No deeper dive into the lore. Just a flat and boring shell of it former self. What a shame.
... Wow, it's been so long but seeing the reveal of Khar-Toba. It's the Higaaran emblem, the 'wings' spreading from the 'moon'. They built their first city, to remind themselves of what they lost.
