Hi! I'm about to finish my pre-grade career as a Universitary Pharmacy Tech. for Hospitals. May I ask you If... men can wear a tie in work when It's not in a sterile area?
I used to be certified and haven't worked in the field for over 13 years. I was in pharmacy for about 10 do you think if I just studied and took the exam I would pass??
I am trying to take the PTCB exam on my own I was going to take it through SJVC, but I decided not to put myself in debt and study for the exam myself but I’m a little lost because I don’t know exactly what books or if I should purchase some type of study program online or how to really go about it if someone can please let me know on exactly what books to purchase if need be besides the one in this video if there’s anything else that can help me to really be prepared, I can go about studying on my own
I am the lead tech at a cvs right across from one of the largest hospitals in NY, we easily do 300+ scripts on a sunday in 7 hours. Man do i wish my store was as chill as yours 😂 we hold ot together, we been tied for #1 in the country on all our metrics the past 4 months lol 💪💪💪
Hello Kenni, do you still do the pharmacy technician work? I was wondering if we could talk about that and maybe I could run some things by you? Valstevenson111@yahoo.com
Kroger, all right! I worked as an intern at the Kroger Pharmacy in Charleston, WV (Kanawha City). summer of 2022, I work non-stop for about 4 months, 76 hours a week. it was crazy!
Can some take the exam who is a foreigner who is going to come there as a visitor for three months? Do they allow me? I wanna come and I just wanna know that. Thank you
Im taking the test on Tuesday, only been a trainee technician for 6 months. Not real confident but thank you so much for these tips! That app is literally amazing! Thank you so much for telling us about it. I had looked on amazon a few weeks ago and bought that same exact book so I am glad to see that it worked for you too! I plan on going over the book and some stuff I printed off of etsy, and using that app every chance I get. It has already taught me several things. If I fail then Ill do those other things you suggested too like getting the practice tests from the ptcb website. I appreciate you making this helpful video!
I passed!!!! I think the app was the absolute most helpful and I made mnemonics to lots of things to help me. I also looked up pharmacy mnemonics to help me as well. Lots of good info out there! I knew several of the answers just because of the app, I work in retail pharmacy so I don't deal with compounding or hospital stuff like Iv's.... Thank you so much for telling us how you learned and gave me a way to the app!
Through stepful it’s 4 months and they do extership and clinical hours and help you get a job also and its 59 dollar deposit and 166 every two weeks for 9 payments
I would not recommend this book. Yes it does simplify into easier terminology certain things on the test like drug classes but it misses common information like dosage forms is not even discussed in this book. Would not recommend it is not enough to pass the test at all. Obviously she has previous pharmacy experience which helped her. Overall this book is not enough context and doesn’t cover everything on test.
Thanks for this video! I have been so nervous over the weekend. Had a week in training already and got so nervous suddenly. Videos like this really help me to relax.
