I expected it to be a little more trashed than it is. It's always a little bit eerie driving to the Walmart there at night, that whole Hilltop area is really dark and dead after dark now.
Man I used to go this mall all the time. The ice cream shop and game stop. Shieks. Running from the mall security lol the $1.10 mc chickens from McDonald’s lol those were the good times.

Hilltop Mall in Richmond, California, opened in 1976 that year we celebrated the American Revolution Bicentennial. Easy on and off of Interstate 80. It's hard to imagine that the mall closed two years shy of its golden anniversary. I remember going to Sears, Macy's, JC Penney, and some of the stores as well. I also visited the food court, and there was a casual dining restaurant, Sweet River grill, and bar. The restaurant closed in 2003.
on the side of the building there is a gate/fence that should be unlocked then around that same area there is a door that is wide open but a homeless guy with his dogs lives there so be cautious of that he’s chill tho
It’s definitely sad to see Hilltop mall like that. I used to walk from Rodeo to the mail. So is there any news on what they’re gonna do with it being there’s only Walmart and 24 hour fitness left. I moved out of California so I’m out of the loop.
