This makes me feel even more out of shape 😂. I did 75 miles over 5 days in 2021 and 71 miles in 2022 over 5 days. The elevation was pretty tough on me.
@@bradleyhildwein2858 hey, what drum-set is that? i'm new at drums and i want an upgrade, any recomendations for the sound of this video? specially the cymbals and snare, they rock
@@peuca112my biggest advice is to always cheap out on drums. So long as you're willing to put in some basic TLC, a cheap kit can always sound and play like a very expensive kit. Cymbals, on the other hand, are where you'll need to spend some cash. My advice there is to get in the room with them and play them first. Don't get fooled into spending up on damaged or repaired cymbals either. The snare is a 1982 Yamaha recording custom brass, but, again, any similar size brazz snare should get you in the ball park. Be mindful that this recording is pretty heavily processed (some very liberal use of very characterful compressors), so it might not be the best representation of the full kit sound
@@bradbrad247 Hey, thanks man for the help!! However, I don't live in a country where I can afford a drumset, even cheap ones will require a ton of time and savings, and even then, with inflation it can get worse. Thanks again tho!
Hey man what are all those concrete doors in a row on the right side of the screen at 12:15? I saw that in another Colorado Trail video and there's massive appeal for it IMO.
DENVER MILE HIGH BIG NEW SMART CITY COLORADO IS WHERE EVERYONE IS MOVING TO THE BEST OF ALL CITY'S RIGHT NOW UP RISING LIKE NO OTHER USA OF ALL STATES IN ONE TOGETHER
Your a different breed man, glad u got to experience the salt lake range too. Its refreshing to see that other people would travel to see my homes beauty. Loved the video 👌
As a European, I never really was interested in Colorado for some reason. But this is the first video of a colorado trail that seems to capture its true beauty for me. Good job.
Crushing this trail in 4 days is insane! It took us 4 just to do about half of it. Well done. Going back this year to finish what the wildfires kept me from doing. Interestingly, we did the trail about the same time as you but we started at Leidy trailhead.
I love having my water on my shoulder straps so I don't have to take off my bag to grab a drink. It never weighed too much on my shoulders; it actually feels like it helps even out the weight a bit from your bag
Be honest… how hard was this trail? I’m interesting in doing it, but question if I’ll be able to handle the elevation since I’ll be coming from the flat land of Indiana. Do you think someone who just got into backpacking less than a year ago would be able to complete such trail?
As a Michigander who just started backpacking 2 years ago, you can absolutely do it! It's not an easy hike (tons of up and down per mile), but at least there's plenty of camp spots. The trail is super well worn, so there's also hardly any obstacles.
Such an amazing trail. My buddy and I hiked it this past summer. It rain 6 of the 9 days on trail. Though the timing of the rain was perfect and it didn’t rain to hard until the last day. We definitely dodged some big storms.
@@bradleyhildwein2858 Heck yeah that’s awesome! We were poured on twice for about ten minutes, a few light showers hit us a few times, and even a few flakes and grapple just a bit past Fox Lake. The first three days were warm, dry, and smoky.
Hey there, I'm curious as to when you did it? Trying to avoid the rain as much as possible without getting into any September snow possibilities. Seems last couple weeks of August are best according to locals anyways. How did you like the trip btw too?
@@andrewduncan7643 I started the second week into July of 2021. It was a hot and a dry summer. The first 20 miles from 191, especially past East Park Reservoir is dry, warm and navigation is a bit more challenging with down trees; nothing too crazy though. After that there’s plenty of water and an abundant amount of mosquitos. The trail and scenery was absolutely incredible and I highly recommend it!
