Id pay for a stand-alone Franchise mode that was a true SIM and barebones online. I dont need HUT. Fix Franchise mode Starting with better CPU GMs. Most playthroughs fall apart in like 10 years because the CPU makes ridiculous decisions and doesn't develop players. Frequently scratches high potential youths for Vets. We need Coherent, Chemistry, morale, and coaching systems that arent purely RNG nonsense. A veteran/rookie mentorship system like the NBA games. Arena and jersey customization, and better presentation. Data logs, analytics, better players interaction. Oh and the commentators...plz stop talking about X-Factors in such a immersion breaking way.
EA sucks, it really does. Greed before anything, I have played this series since 90, I played 24 for 1 game, and uninstalled - thankfully i do game share with a friends account. 14 was kinda the peak for me, after that its steady downhill money grab and i felt dirty buying this game. havent spent a penny on the nhl series in 3 years. GGs EA
Who the hell is Henry Ecker anyway? And why was he in the game for a bunch of years? Did his mom suck off EA's CEO or something? I don't get it, it's so weird.
pretty stupid to make videos about how your favorite sports game sucks and then buying it regardless every year - you are the reason this game is bad - stop buying it !
Yes, me, 1 person is the entire reason EA Sports is in decline. You might be einstien! We can strike the game all we want be EA wont do shit about it anyway. And I could give less of a shit about EA, I love hockey and hockey games, this just happens to be the only real one on the market. But yea blame me man
I spent so many hours of my life playing this game. So many great stories involving it. It’s how I Became good friends with Rocco Grimaldi after a 3 hour long best of 7 series that went the distance in the dorms my freshman year of college. Another time shutting up a couple loud mouth frat guys that were bragging about their online versus rank at a party with a 5-1 first period then having beers together. Tons of more stories like this - The NHL franchise has the opportunity to be the greatest sports game out there because players need - actual hockey knowledge, real skill, timing, and creativity with the puck on your stick, strategy, vision, discipline, taking the right angles and positioning, execution, and finally some puck luck - a game of chess with the pieces flowing in motion over the board. It’s the only sports game that has the potential that is impressive to be one the best at. The focus of the franchise being HUT with all these 99 overalls flying around taking away from the integrity of the game broke my heart
NHL 15 was the last one I remember playing. 08-12 wasn’t a bad era either.. I got NHL 24 for free through my ps subscription and had high hopes but man is this game bad. The hitting is basically impossible and when you do land a hit it’s the softest hit in the world. Don’t get me started with the skill stick and dekes, wtf happened???
Why am I so alone in thinking NHL 24 is the best one they ever made. They added at least 15 new goalie animations, the movement, passing, shooting, and stick work are all perfect. I know there's all this other stuff with buying cards and online probably sucks, but all i do is pick a team and play a season and try and work with that team and I play one on one online which runs smoothly, so what should be changed to the gameplay.... NOTHING. I hope they just leave it be why fix something that plays great. I hope they don't change it next year, the only thing I agree with is you should just pay like a $15 upgrade for all the new rosters.
@@Perellzy yea but the passing was so fake, I mean I loved 21' that's when I got back into playing NHL since 2001, cause I didn't like the change over from how it played 96-99' and if I can remember correctly 2000-01' were similar too just on PS1. But after that I remember playing 02' and being like wtf is this, it's too complicated, and I played Madden and NBA live until 2020 when they got weird and in real life got weird, so I started watching NHL more then those sports as well, and yea I love watching and playing NHL now over even the NFL
@@Perellzy is that the one with ovi on the cover? I don't remember what one touch passing was, I thought it passed the same. U might be right about the one touch cause I don't remember what that was. But I do remember the difference in the next years passing it was completely different on its more realistic feel. I mean it was the first one I played since the 90's so during that year it was awesome but how they have it now is way more realistic and feels like more of an accomplishment when completing a one timer of great pass cause you have to turn your body of stick to hit its mark. Cause like I say idk about one touch passing but it was completely fake. You could pass to any of your teammates no matter where they were on the ice and it would go thru every defenders sticks and skates and one timers were so easy, and looking back on the way it is now, I like now better cause its too fake to pass thru all 5 defenders and hit the one timer
I love nhl 14 so much. I’m an eashl guy at heart so 14 was peak eashl. I liked when you could upgrade youre guy and actually have an overall. I hate these X factors, boosts and everything else about eashl. Bring back overalls in WOC
They don't need to make a game every year as long as it's well developed, you only update rosters and patch bugs The reason why they release a game every year is cash money baby, simple as. It's greed You can brainstorm 3-4-5 years on the new features and graphic engines and come back to the table with an offer I wouldn't mind spending $100 on. Not every year
I tried playing this game when Sony put it free as part of the PS Olus monthly game and it was hard to play it although, I'm gonna he honest, I don't know jack shit about Ice Hockey except for the flights between players lmao, other sports I've some knowledge about them or even I play them irl (Basketball and Soccer mainly). So, for example, my experience with FIFA or NBA2K is more fun for me because I know about the game and about the teams etc... At least EA hasn't sacrified a lot in the career mode in FIFA and they've been making good changes for years tbh
I knew the new dev team and nhl 24 were cooked when i saw they added a battle pass and almost nothing the fans actually wanted, i can confidently count the amount of people asking for a battle pass on one hand and half of them are on the dev team, it's really not that hard to just listen to the fans and give them what they want, you know the people who give you the money to keep your bills paid and the games coming but no let's just add random shit nobody wanted and leave be a pro with the same game breaking glitches and bugs and identical shitty cutscenes and identical word for word terrible dialog for 3+ years
Most of the time when I was younger I always played the ultimate team cause that’s all I saw videos on. I only just recently sat down and played the nhl24 be a pro and had fun making a character to be the next “star”. I decided to play in the leagues before the nhl to get the full emersion and to feel some excitement on the draft, but I was quickly disappointed when all I played was 5 games at most in a tournament and got “drafted” first overall. I felt like I didn’t really earn it. Seeing how popular college football 24 is I think it would be a really good idea for ea to add more of a grind in the be a pro by adding junior leagues and even NCAA teams for your be a pro player to play on, full length seasons, to truly make your way to the top. I think just this will make people want to play offline modes more, as well to introduce young prospects to people who don’t watch leagues outside of the nhl.
They need to fix this absolute mess of online versus play. Where a team can lead in shots by 15 or 20, dominate possession, and lose five or six games in a row due to glitch goals.
