where did you find the dust version of "i loved another woman"? i cant manage to find it, ill be thankful if you send me a link to an album, another upload or something
Sorry I have no informations about all the groups on this compilation - I only know that this is a cover version of Fleetwood Mac (Peter Green) - I love another woman. I think this Dust version is only existing as an acetate and was never released
I wondered where Race With The Devil would come in the running order. Loved that song. Bought the single! In Australia! King’s Menswear and Records. A fine family business.
que sería del rock sin esas pedazo de portadas de los grandes ilustradores del mundo del comic,me alucina seguir encontrando comic de segunda mano como creepy,y sobre todo moebius, y tantos otros genios.
<< Mandrake Paddle Steamer >> The band was formed in 1967 in the suburbs of London . During their short career (1967-70) they played as a support band for Pink Floyd, The Nice, Vanilla Fudge and also played at The Isle Of Wight Festival. Released the single “Strange Walking Man / Steam” in March 1969, recorded at Abbey Road Studios. Due to the lack of publicity (only one small note in “Melody Maker” and no radio airplay) and interest from the record label, the band was left with virtually no sales. After some lineup changes and a name reduction to simply “Mandrake”, the band finally broke up in 1970.
It got a review in The Disc and Music Echo, I remember it. And I also heard it played on John Peel's Top Gear, and on another occasion, they recorded a session for the show. "Strange Walking Man" has always been one of my all time favourites. I love all things weird, off the wall and bendy, and SWM ticks all of those boxes in spades! Great shame they never made it...they definitely should have! 😎
