Thanks Dr. Lennox for explaining that there are all Earthly religions on one side, and then there is Christianity on the other. Christianity is the ONLY belief system that makes the claim that salvation is not earned by our works, but is a gracious gift from God.
Lennox offeres no credible proof. This leads one to believe there is no god. No god anywhere at any time has ever been credibly proven. Lennox mostly differs to other athorities who likewise had no proof.
I was an atheist or agnostic… a puritan believer in materialism/science - ‘reason’ as I saw it - and then had a complete born again experience out of the blue in my 50s! I was literally saved… I can say this because I went through a remarkably heavy personal tragedy and was trying to summon the guts to commit suicide by swimming out at night… and I was in a state of hell - at absolute rock bottom … and I was then taken on an inexplicable ride… I was literally SAVED … filled with absolute peace such as I’d never known… a beautiful sense of new light and love swept over me for no reason other than I knew I was in the presence of God… I of all people - a selfish sinner/ womanizer/ drunk/ junkie - became a devout Christian … almost immediately! The entire Faith of Christ made absolute sense within a couple of weeks thanks to a local vicar and congregation who gave me time - … absolute perfection, it was! THIS can happen to any one of you - the greater your doubt, the more likely the total transmogrification that will shoot you to the stars… From that moment on - when I was literally “born again” - my life became absolutely wonderful … And that is a FACT… You can keep your scientific materialism - I now KNOW that the spiritual realm exists. I speak with God every day and He speaks with me. I pray you find this state of peace and fearlessness, too.
I certainly didn't need to have John to believe in my Savoiur but he is amazing at making Him truthful and totally relevant to those who don't know Him.
God release wisdom and with that they have knowledge. The more man have wisdom and knowledge, the more they feel they do not need God. God is wise and therefore He knows when, how, what, why where to stop releasing them before man behave like that. Mercy is the key word.
I'm sorry, but the bible does not separate the beginning with the seven days. as is confirmed in Exodus 20:11 "For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."
All John Lennox's arguments fall flat. Why would an all -powerful God require the universe to be finely tuned to create life? If consciousness or reality does not even NEED to be physical (ie a soul or heaven) then God didn't even need to bother with a physical universe at all. All religious apologetics is riddled with fallacies and contradictions, and John Lennox is a shining example of that.

Science is nothing more than methods for dealing with physical creation. Revealing facts about physical creation shows how God made it. There is no evidence of nonliving element's forming anything of purpose from unguided chemical reactions. All life forms have purpose.

I have listened to so many Dr Lennox’s talk that I almost know all the arguments and lines. But I am still mesmerized to listen to everything he says to the end 🤣. You can’t resist his warm charm and sharp wit, let alone the amiable and humble manner of him. Love this man. May God bless him and use him to save more souls

I could go all Lawrence Krauss on your ass but very personally for me it stands to logic and reason that some-thing could only have come out of a state of no-thing. If a state of no-thing wouldn't have existed, some-thing could only have been every-thing. The state of no-thing on the other hand has the potential to become every-thing. That's the philosophical approach. Mathematically something and nothing are of equal value by the way. That said, if you desperately want to serve your imagination by believing that quantum fluctuations, borrowing energy are somehow this all powerful entity caring about your every thought or action, be my guest.
