Hey! Would love to implement this. Where did you get the bronze bushing?

Just discovered this rotary system. How does the pocket work? I don't understand how the rotation of the servo turns into the aileron movement.

That's a large gap between the wing and control surface, never seen a control surface on an RC plane with a flat leading edge, always beveled or rounded and tucked in to a pocket in the trailing edge of the wing or stab. This is known to cause flutter at higher speeds. Is that the final product?

That wasn't the finished trailing edge, there was a thin fibreglass shroud added top and bottom to close the gap after the sheeting was applied to the horizontal stabiliser. I also rounded the LE of the elevator as well. You can see more detail of the build here www.rcscalebuilder.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=31097 Thanks for looking in!

@@specialanddifferent Cool, was just wondering. I do love the servo setup. The only other question I have about the setup is, does the pocket suggest wear over time allowing slop to eventually creep into the control? I've always been curious about the longevity of this type of setup.

@@shelbyseelbach9568 This is the first one I’ve done so I’ve no idea about longevity! It’s pretty thick fibreglass so will take a long time to wear I suspect. I can always replace the elevators if it does get bad I suppose.
