UM, THIS IS NOT MARY J. BLIGE. Well it is to an extent, but she covered this song from Rose Royce which I'm sure you know about and the cover was damn near identical to their version from the music to the vocals. Mary really did nothing different to separate her version from the original so you were best off putting Rose Royce in the title and description here. Give them the credit even if you did have Mary's version more-so in mind when doing this.
@@alexwrightsings You're welcome I guess. But I'm curious now, are you indicating you knew nothing about the Rose Royce version??? How told are you? I'm 29 and knew this for ages. -_-
Give Me A Clean Heart . . . by Margaret Douroux. This song was recorded by Rev. James Cleveland and the Southern California Community Choir. Margaret Douroux has written several hits over the years. Another great song of hers is "He Decided To Die." You should really check out the rest of her catalog. Great music!!!
I love this so much, it fills me with so much joy to see someone else enjoy singing with a mixed usage of the acutes and graves so dynamically and emotionally in such a beautiful manner. It is not the traditional taught way of singing so it is often caught with its obstacles as a singers but I find it equally as valid as the other singing styles since its still such a magnificent way to use our given instrument. So thank you for reassuring me that I am not alone in this style of singing it means so much…🖤 fellow bass baritone here
This song has been in my spirit for the last few days and this rendition blessed my soul! Thank you, for making sure that we don't lose our musical traditions.
I recognize the organ pipes.and the natural reverb of the room. Mr.Cleveland.would give this production his Blessings, the passion she puts into the song comes from time spent living...does this choir have CD's available with other material ..
Amazing job of producing..background singers A+ horns right on the natural reverb of the room killer... someone did their homework..with a little more practice ,l think, the lead could relax and just perform ,but not trying to perform if you know what l mean, some times a little less is becomes more in the mix...l still enjoyed the rendition....
I wonder how Sylvester would sound doing the same song,...the musicians are on point Also lead singer for the D.C group ....The DYNAMICS SUPERIORS ....would do a killer rendition...
This is a beautiful rendition of a very powerful anthem that was composed and performed by Lady Nina Simone during the Black Power Movement (1968-1972)..... the soloist is performing this anthem beautifully......
